watch. chelsea. >> we have a lot to talk about first with the heat. temperatures ka checking in in the 80s and we made it officially to 90. even with the heat index now it feels more like the mid 90s out. there cooler down the shore. temperatures checking in in the lower 80s. 80 wild wood and 83 in atlantic city. a look at storm scan they across the delaware valley couple showers popping up this afternoon. one moved through center city and really the main event and out to the west headed our way associated with the cold front poised across our neighborhood as we head to tomorrow and flash flood watch issued noontime tomorrow afternoon and i looking at strong to severe thunderstorms easily widespread 1 to 2" of rain expected with locally hire amounts possible and keeping a watch for cuteed in some river ever the girl and two friends and lagoon and two girls touch a metal boat lift causing injury and 11-year-old was only child injured in that accident once again that 11-year-old has died. gunfire center city overnight and two people are wounded. this happened near 7 and arch streets around 2:30 this morning. police say a second victim drove himself to wilmington delaware hospital and he's expected to survive. search for shooter tonight continues. >> another shooting to tell you about. this one happened an hour earlier, 2 1/2 miles away in north philadelphia. and investigators say a man in 20s was shot three times in the legs at the intersection of north 6 and west cumberland streets and victim is recovering at temple hospital and police have not said if arrest has been made. >> police are investigating how a 49-year-old hispanic man ended up in the schuylkill river. officers were called when someone spot aid person in the water near north market stree street. a boat went out to vest and discovered the man was dead. there was no word on the identity of that man who was found there. and at least 6 people have died in possibly the deadliest forest fire in portugal. government there says most victims were trapped in their cars on the roadside. dozens more hurt and people reported watching as homes burned and they waited hours for firefighters to arrive. european union offered assistance in fighting remaining fire. >> crews continue to fight the 1300 acre fire as flames ripped through santa pay national forest since thursday. fire officials say more than half the fire is now contained and investigators believed the fire was started by an abandoned camp fire. and evacuees are expected to return home later today. >> and now to a calamity at sea the search for seven u.s. sailors was called off sunday. their destroyer kinded with a container vessel off the waters of japan. there's a unknown number of fatalities as the navy day to get sun rays and work on tan and sit out on the san sand. we only made it to 90 today in philadelphia. but, when you factored in the heat index it actually felt more like the mid 90s out there. this was definitely a warm on one. arming high 4. six degrees above that. we're now down into the upper 80s in philadelphia and 89. 83 millville down the shore cooler and lower 80s. 83 atlantic city and 1 wild wood and 87 allentown and upper 70s in mount pocono. we had a couple of spotty showers across the delaware valley one through center city earlier this afternoon. we could still see a spotty shower around this evening. but the big threat is located well out west. all of this rain cloud cover that's associated with the cold front and this front is poised to cotion other neighborhood as we head to tomorrow afternoon and evening and it promises to pack a punch. in fact under enhanced risk for severe weather as we head into monday. here's a look at storm threat threats. we're definitely going to see toreen tall downpours into the storms that develop this afternoon and evening and strong, damaging wind and high possibility to deal with lightning. there is risk for some isolated large hail. something we need to keep an eye on owe. low risk for tornado. however as we head to tomorrow afternoon and evening we unfortunately can't completely rule that out. here's a look at future weather how things pan out. spotty shower this evening otherwise thing quiet down overnight and we're looking at partly cloudy skies and probably a little sunshine to start out the day on monday and then clouds quickly will be on the increase and here's a look at storms coming on through. making their way into lancastr and reading and lehigh valley by about 3, 4:00 in the afternoon and right around dinner time headed to center city, philadelphia and then after that they'll be heading their way down the shore after dirp time. and things begin to wiped down as we head into tomorrow night as far as rainfall amounts right along the i 95 quor door a good one to two inches of rain and some of the models are printing out locally higher amounts upward of 3, 4" and that cannot be ruled out and area of i 5 on west will see the bulk of rain as we head to tomorrow. that's why we have a flash flood watch issued for philadelphia, surrounding counties. it goes into effect the noon hour tomorrow. overnight if you hit the road you should be just fine. morning commute looks fine as well. by tomorrow evening that is when we'll run risks for strong to severe showers and storms. that's when you need to be on the alert. overnight the forecast, partly cloudy. spotty shower. overnight low temperature 73. 87 tomorrow with showers and strong thunderstorms developing as we head into the afternoon and evening. if you head down the shore, not too bad for the bulk of day because rain won't arrive until tomorrow night. you can look for high temperature around 83 degrees. here's eyewitness weather
