Police say the victim left the Jewelry Store on eighth street and walked to her car inside a parking garage on chestnut street. Thats when police say she was kidnapped attacked and then left in a cemetery in darby borough. Steve patter is son has the latest on the investigation. Reporter good evening. As detectives and crime scene investigators combed the area. Police say hours earlier in broad daylight, at about 4 00 saturday afternoon a 53yearold female employee of this high value watch boutique was leaving work and walking to her car across the street in this parking garage. Inside Police Say Three men hopped out of a parked burgundy gag dough van and abducted the woman demanding keys to the business and codes to the safe. Then horror. For about an hour the woman is bound and hooded while the men drive. Police say shes punched kicked, choked and shot with a taser some seven times. When its clear she doesnt know the code to the safe shes dumped at this cemetery in darby borough more than 10 miles away. Still bound the woman is struggling to remove zip ties from her wrists and ankles when the men come back and abduct her a second time. This time shes shackled in steel restraints as the men continued to beat the woman demanding a pin number to her atm card. Police say the men stopped four times to withdraw money before shes dumped off again at the same cemetery. A passing driver sees the woman walking out to the road and calls 911 ending the ordeal. On top of a concussion the woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition suffering from cuts, bruises and multiple contusions. Police are looking for a basketball coach who police say opened fire during a game in west philadelphia. The shooting happened yesterday inside the christie Recreation Center on this south 56th street. Police say 26yearold Maurice Tavarez of chester got into an argument with a spectator and the other teams coach. Tavarez allegedly pulled a gun out of his waist band and fired a shot. As we check in with our weather watchers, 61, 62 is pretty much the number right now. We have that wind mixing up the atmosphere. These temperatures pretty much uniform no matter where you are across the Delaware Valley. Exception may be down the coast a little bit chilly by the cold Atlantic Ocean but these were the highs today. James in ocean city new jersey still came in at 60 degrees. Cant beat that in the sunshine. Willow grove barbara had a high of 68 degrees as well as phil here in philadelphia clementon new jersey david dutch coming in at 68. Peter in lawrenceville, new jersey 66. Also mid 60s up in downingtown and wayne in land den berg pennsylvania coming in at 63 degrees. Still nice outside right now. One place that will be rocking tomorrow is the ballpark. All quiet now but a different story come less than 24 hours as the red sox come into town for opening dane the weather is going to be beautiful with temperatures in the 70s at first pitch. Look to the south of the front, 67 in richmond. Were going to remain to the south of the front over the next 48 hours so that keeps our temperatures on the warm side. Average high 60. Well be way above there for monday and tuesday in the lower 70s but little bit of a drop in the temperatures for the middle of the week. Looks like we hit the 50s wednesday and thursday but that is short lived as we return to the upper 60s to near 70 by next friday into next weekend. Winds still gusting 25 Miles Per Hour close to 30 at times. So thats not good news for the allergy sufferers. We have dry conditions right now. Winds blowing the pollen around. Maple and juniper are the main pollens outside right now causing the problems. Tomorrow going to be very high over a 10 out of a scale of 10 still on the high side both tuesday and wednesday but those numbers will lower a little bit because well get some rain in here to help cleanse out the atmosphere just a little bit. Looking good tomorrow afternoon, 3 oclock, sunshine and clouds, still dry throughout the entire phillies game. Tuesday morning i think we wake up with some sun and clouds. By the afternoon there could be some showers around, some steadier rain may move in later during the evening and at night tuesday. Temperatures again tomorrow morning 40s and even some 50s so a mild start to the day. Look at that, widespread 70s for the highs on monday. Tuesday same story. Looks like we make to it near 70s degrees. So, your forecast overnight breezy, partly cloudy 46 for center city. Winds lighten up for tomorrow partly sunny warm with a high of 72 degrees. Heres the extended forecast. Still near 70 tuesday with showers especially in the afternoon. Then its kind of a damp forecast. Wednesday more showers 56. I think thursday we stay dry but only 50 and then more shower chances return friday and saturday. We do warm up, though, back into the upper 60s though. April showers coming in.
