all day. we were bright this morning. clouds rolled in midday and now you can see the clouds are back in place as nightfalls over center city philadelphia. it's pretty quiet out there. winds aren't that bad and here's a quick time lapse video from the palmyra cove nature park on our live neighborhood network. it started off with blue sky. turned a bit overcast through the afternoon hours but then it did lighten up a little bit around 3, 4 o'clock, we started to see everything clear out, the sun came back out but now clouds are back in. clouds moving in now as a result of the storm system heading our way and it's generally a clipper, a light system moving in from the north and west. a few break in the cloud cover here and there. here's that system we're watching. notice how little moisture it has with it. it has a lot of rain and snow in the mountains of west virginia v southern piece is stealing the moisture from the northern edge. on the northern edge you can see the snow starting to deteriorate and erode. we may pick up a few scattered snow showers overnight. that's really about it. temperature-wise it's 41 degrees in philadelphia, 39 in allentown, 30 in mount pocono and 39 in wilmington. still a chilly afternoon and then that little system comes through overnight into tomorrow morning again with the chance for a snow shower but what we want to watch is this big area of high pressure. it's going to start to drift eastward as we get into the start of next week and by monday we're talking about highs already back to around 60 degrees. then it gets even warmer after that. but what to expect overnight into sunday morning. scattered rain and snow showers mainly between midnight and 9:00 a.m. a light dusting is possible in a couple of spots although it's looking less and less likely to me right now. you may wake up to a couple flakes flying sunday morning but then the sun comes out. it's a warmer pattern next week. we get a surge of warm air from the south and west talking about temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above average by the middle of next week. so here's a look at your overnight forecast, cloudy, chilly, a snow shower around 30 degrees your overnight low. tomorrow a few morning flakes sunny 49 degrees. notice something different for this time of the year than what have been seeing. the winds will be calm tomorrow so not a lot of wind so that's going to make that 49 not feel all that bad when the sun is shining. we jump right to 60 on monday. 69 degrees on tuesday. wednesday is the holy grail of the forecast, 72 degrees with sunshine.
