Investigators say a 47 yearold man was shot, twice, once in the neck and once in the chest. It happened on the 2100 block of spencer street just before midnight. He was rush to the hospital, where he later died. Another homicide is under investigation in grays ferry, police say a 41 yearold man was stab in the mouth and in the left arm. He died at the hospital from his injuries, there is no word on a suspect or a motive at this time. A van crashed through a building in bellmawr, new jersey, Camden County emergency officials responded to that scene in the 100 block of browning road. The work van belongs to paradigm hv ac company. Authorities are trying to determine if speed played a role in the crash. There is in word on any injuries at this time. Well, a four yearold boy is critically injured after falling from a second floor window at a home in king sessing. Investigators are trying to figure out just how it happened. Reporter neighbors are shocked to learn a four yearold boy is critically injured after falling from a second floor window, it happened yesterday morning on the 5400 block of malcolm street. The child, fell out of the window in the back side of this home. He suffered severe injuries to his head and face, and was immediately rushed to Childrens Hospital of philadelphia. Investigators are trying to figure out how the boy was able to make it out of the window and it is unknown at this time if this was an accident or negligence. Neighbors say that the boy is a happy child who is always with his mother. It is really sad because the lady, shes very nice. The the family vice nice. They are usually staying to themselves. And then through philadelphia and northeasterly wind at ten, and at the shore, 68, degrees, and a northeasterly wind about 6 miles an hour. So with that easterly component we can expect to see these clouds, coming in here today. But it is comfortable. Thinks a nice start to the day. Wouldnt we take this, at just about any other month of the year. So, i think, today we will be just fine. Yesterday was lovely, even with some cloud cover, and then now as far as what were looking at dew point wise and this is key to how comfortable the day is. It is not bad out there. Weve got due points in philadelphia of 58 degrees. Youll go farther south and they are higher. It is 65degree dew point through millville. 69 degrees down through the dover area and that gets start to get in that sticky range, areas to the south, but very, very comfortable through philadelphia and the points north. Our storm scan three, the showers that are right along the the coast, this ace weak low pressure system and it is just starting the the area with a couple of showers. There with a few sprinkles and you might find a sprinkle or two in one or two other locations, and anything that is out there is light and it is moving on, weve got High Pressure that is moving an, as well. So low pressure goes, another High Pressure system comes in here and that is going to set us up for the monday, much of tuesday, time period, and then a cold front comes through here. Temperatures will be all over the place this week. Ill show thaw in the seven day but for the short term, this computer model is completely accurate about the place. It is becoming more main stream and there is a lot of specialty hospitals that have have that as an option. It is something that has a lot of use if it is combined with surgery either before or after surgery as well as chemotherapy and in patients where we think we can cure that cancer. The radiation is usually given five days a week for about a month. Does radiation actually kill the cancer. It kills the cancer, yes. Kills cancer very similar to the way chemotherapy does but instead of being systemic like chemotherapy, it focuses more on the tumor like surgery. The owner doesnt say dont want chemo i just want radiation. Is there a specialized, something works better than the other. There is often a lot have of options. It is not that common there is only one choice for an owner and one of our jobs toys give owner those options and try to figure out what fits them and their pet the best. Radiation is not one and done. That is surgery. Radiation is something that does involve a commitment of a in or two and does involve some sedation, light anesthesia to keep the pet still during each of the treatments but it is something pretty well work out and animals tolerate it really well. The the radiation would be in some cases every single day. Sometimes five days a week for about a month. That is when we are aggressive when we think we can cure a tumor we are willing to put in more effort in our treatment but we will get them through. They handle it better then they would think. Now is there a time when you use radiation just to rereeve pain a lot of time it is used as palliative radiation, it the is comfort care f we have a tumor we cannot cure or big, causing pain or discomfort, just a couple doses of radiation will help that pet be a lot more comfortable for a couple months. Does radiation then if it cures tumor but somehow side effects of it will em pack long term lifestyle or life of your pets. Well, it is not all that different from surgery that you talk about the possible complications and side effects are and we hope owner decide if it is worth it for their pet. We try very had hard to keep side effects to the minimum because our goal, it is always first the quality of the patients life. What would side effects on have radiation be. You can get sunburn. It looks like a sunburn initially and in the long term you get some changes kind of like wrinkles you get from the sun. Some scarring and things like that. But we do our best to keep those things very manageable otherwise there is no point. I think bottom line is that there are options, some patients, and some pet owners are better or worse for whatever the option is. Yep. But explore witt your vet, penn vet. Authorities say that the victim weighed just 25 pounds and looked like a skeleton when he was taken from his home last month. A doctor calls it the worst case of medical neglect she has ever seen, neighbors are furious about that discovery. Let me see what it is like. He is a child. You dont punish him that way. There is no excuse to it, that is all there is to it, none at all. Reporter boys mother and grandparents are facing several charges. Three other children living in that home were also removed. Doctors say the victim is doing better having gained 20pound since june 6th. Robber swiped grace clark mcdades purse outside her home early friday but Fire Fighters, doing Building Inspections on her block refused to let them getaway.
