middle 60's today. they will be in the upper 60's and 07-degree dew points which means, humidity, well, you will be cutting it with a knife. we have ocean city that does president look like there was much going on there as far as, people on the beach, we've got some cloud cover, we are also looking at margate, which looks very nice at the present time in margate and we've got some pretty nice weather conditions out there, generally over the the area. temperature at this point. but i think things will start to go downhill as we go through the next couple of days because we've got a couple of weather systems come in here and acting like, summer having a temper tan drum. we have 73 in philadelphia. seventy-two in wilmington. seventy-one in the trenton area. 68 degrees, the coolest spot out there you'll find that up in the poconos, this morning. otherwise storm scan three we have been talking about these little showers that are moving through wilmington. they are light, not a big area covered by them but you may get a welcome little, jab or two of water. and then we will end up with some clouds, and get some clearing, we will get more clouds and all of this is shifting and way it is going. it will be moving in our area any clouds, you will see briefly, but then it will start to see more clouds and then some showers, associated with a front that is going to becoming through here. so expect to find some showers, later on this afternoon but especially later on tonight as we watch for the weather to change. in fact, it will be change nothing a major way. we have a severe threat now of some strong, storms, this is for monday and you can see the area that it is covered and it is a lot of the united states. and it covers a lot of the people through you in new york philadelphia and washington corridor and this is potential. at least a slight risk for potential of downpours out of any storm you might find, possibility of hail, also damaging win and this is on monday. we might be doing the very same thing on tuesday this front is not moving all that fast. there are two of them. it just keeps this air mass and this state of flux for the next couple of days. so temperatures will be very close to 90 degrees. the it should be stopping in the upper 80's today. showers and storms moving on through, let's time this out and see if the computer models have changed, anything? no, they still say we will get that brief bit of clearing and then as we move on through the afternoon hours we will get more and then we will start to see some showers and thunderstorms moving through the area this is at 11:00 o'clock tonight and some of these moving through south jersey. i know a lot of people would like to see the rain. unfortunately it comes with the drum wheats too, with some showers and thunderstorms monday afternoon. we will see them again. 6:00 o'clock monday night we will see them. we will see them by the time we get to tuesday as well. we may be finding more showers and storms until this thing rolls on through and completely changes our weather, for mid week on. water temperatures if you are going to the shore they are warming up a bit. we have got them right around 70 degrees. we will average out all of those numbers. hot dejesus. humid one. shower and thunderstorm chances. keep yourself as cool as you can and keep your pets as cool as you are. tonight, it is a hot one. 75 degrees. overnight, with showers and thunderstorms. monday it is hotter. with the showers and thunderstorms, and then on tuesday we have more showers, and thunderstorms, maybe a lingering one early on wednesday, otherwise, humidity leaves, temperatures drop, it looks great around here and feels better, from later on wednesday, this point, right through doctor geffen, a sarcoma in dogs, just that name, a, makes you think it is something scary and b, i don't want to think bit. what is it, because dogs and cats get it. >> it is a bad disease. it is a tumor of the blood organs and usually presents itself with tumors. the most of the time we see it because a large tumor ruptured inside the dog. >> you wouldn't even know if the dog had a tumor. >> you may not know it until the dog had symptoms f this tumor ruptures they bleed internally and they get weak, pass out and they look pale. interesting thing if you decided you could not get to the vet, within a day or two the dogs and cats can seem normal again but they have tumors. they spread throughout all of the organs and it is a bad within to have. >> does it come on fast and does your dog look bloated because of the blood loss internally. >> most of the time is it comes without warning. the it is not something that people would know about even on a examination unless you can feel a tumor inside growing even a vet may in the know until an episode happens. >> with a blood test preventive yearly blood test would that show anemia or anything. >> it would only show that if it ruptured recently. if the dog didn't have rupture his blood work could be completely normal. there might be he will racial in liver enzymes if it spread to those other organs but you wouldn't be able to specifically diagnosis that. >> so, you just, your dog could have it or could not have it, you have to watch for lethargy. >> if something is not right an x-ray or ultrasound might pick them up before they ruptured. >> bloat is a horrible condition. we have talk about it before. when the stomach twists. >> yes. >> new any treatments for this, any preventive things. >> they are still doing a lot of research, prevailing wisdom was not to eat dry food and not let dogs drink a lot of water and not to let them run around like a loon particular. >> or eat on a raised food bowl. >> but basically we're still back where we were not being able to prevent it but once there happens there are surgical techniques to fix it and keep it from happening again. it is essential to seek medical treatment as soon as possible. >> very fast hospitalized dogs and cats, very upset, they are trying something at a vet hospital, they have done a couple dogs, they put thunder shirt on that restrictive but not too restrictive shirt, do you believe that could work. >> i think it could work. there is in the enough numbers to really tell for sure. we welcome people to bring a toy or blanket that their dog or cat is used to, if it is at all possible and, of course, staff is always trying to pay attention and make these pets feel as comfortable as they can. >> thunder shirt is same kind of thing people use for their animals for, lightening and thunder and that sort of thing. >> yes, lightening and then shirts. >> good name. >> yes. >> doctor geffen, thank goodness you are my guide. if you've got questions you can e-mail me or go to my facebook page at carol erickson's pet page. and, here is something fun to do besides the path spca having their big event at 350 erie avenue to take for business down there. people running around. up and down boardwalk, trucks, et cetera. now people are out there. it looks like a beautiful start to the day with temperature of 71 degrees in rehoboth beach. we are looking at storm scan three of a couple area of precipitation. this is a wide view. you can see a few high clouds, we will get breaks. off to the west, there is a line of some much needed rain for you down there. you may be enjoying sort of getting a little break and having to water yourself. now 73 degrees, mild out there. seventy-two in wilmington. seventy-three in philadelphia. seventy-one in trenton. in the 60's, only place in the 60's is up through poconos at 68 degrees. look at these dew points, they are coming up in the 70's in some spots. 67 degrees dew point which means it is humid. our temperatures this afternoon getting in the upper 80's and we will start to pick up shower and thunderstorm chances especially later on as we go through this evening.
