running down the street, screaming, near jasper and letterly street. it happened around 11:30 last night. the officers said the 35 year-old victim was stabbed and ran a block before collapsing. >> she appears at this time to have been stabbed once in the right neck. >> reporter: police say there are quite a few surveillance cameras in the area, about ten that surround that specific location, they hope video lead them to the killer. also new this morning police are investigating the shooting in north philadelphia they say a woman was sitting on the steps in the is 1100 block of oakdale treat when a car pulled up and someone started shooting. three two-year old woman was shot three times, twice in the right thigh, once this is left thigh and she's in stable condition. the republican national convention starts tomorrow in cleveland, right the now delegates from pennsylvania are boarding a bus heading for ohio. cherri gregg from kyw news radio, is live in exton chester county. are you feeling. >> it is really exciting, in the weeks before the republican convention. it is like disney world for politicians when you go out there everything is bright, clean, fun, you see or politicians and hear their great speeches and this is a lot of fun. >> reporter: this is not your first time. you are a season attende of these things. describe the feeling at the convention with your party mate being there. >> it is exciting, you see people all over the country and state and you get to network with them and people, they have the similar values and ideals. that is where parties come together at these conventions. >> reporter: so, tell me your thoughts about trump and about his running mate, and we also, in talking about some of the differences that you are eag in pennsylvania voters. >> well, we're starting to come together for our candidate donald trump. his message is resonating. we were talking about this with a new group of voters. we are seeing blue collar democrats and these we never had. in chester county we have had 2100 people switch to republican this year. 200,000 across the state. we are seeing a new dynamic. traditional voters along the main line are in the warming up to him, we are seeing new blue collar folks coming to the republican party and that is exciting for us. >> reporter: it has been a slow roll for them as far as convincing folks to get on board with trump but even unbound delegates are going trump now. >> yes, in pennsylvania the delegates elect, three in each congressional district are by and large voting for trump. some people have reservations. i was a rubio guy but his message about make america great again and work for americans is rest mating. >> reporter: is rest mating. again, they will head off trump officially introduced him as his running mate. >> today, this new york city, i accepted donald trump's invitation to run and serve, as vice-president of the united states of america. >> suspect is now charged with theft and related offences. the coastguard and local police are resuming their search this morning for a missing diver in monmouth county. the 17 year-old dove in the shark river in bellmawr and never re-surfaced. the diver was last seen around 5:00 yesterday afternoon, and the shark river inlet is closed to maritime vessel traffic while search and rescue divers are on the scene. lightening struck two women in two separate incidents in ocean county. here's what it looked like on storm scan three when it happened 3:00 o'clock saturday afternoon. lightening strikes happened within eight minutes of each other in point please an. one victim was struck on the beach, off new jersey avenue and other was in the koran 3900 block of ocean avenue knew. both were at 73 degrees. here's that shore forecast, we will reach the upper 80's before that sea breeze does kick in today. full sunshine tomorrow. hot one with a high near 90 along the new jersey coast and then delaware beaches and then tuesday some more cloud around especially in the morning. maybe a shower or thunderstorm early, afternoon looks better, highs around 87 degrees. ocean water temperature up and down mid-atlantic coastline feeling good right now. we will go to central, new jersey, upper 07's off long beach island, 73 off atlantic city down to ocean city maryland and mid to upper 70's. it feels good to head in the ocean. weak cold front continuing to move off shore, that is what brought the storms last night, but it is not going to drop our temperatures. we are a dry today and for the most part tomorrow and then monday night we will watch the stronger cold front coming through. it will bring in scattered showers and storms monday night early tuesday morning but by tuesday afternoon we will start to clear it out and humidity levels will begin to drop. the lets take a closer look here across the region in the afternoon, maybe some clouds, build up just through to the daytime heating not the producing then are storms and then tomorrow morning in the afternoon some cloud stream from the west. then we will bring in a couple spotty showers and storms, starting monday at the walt whitman n delays or problems, on i-95 at the walt whitman this morning and walt whitman is in great shape. moving the traffic cam one more time to the mid county tolls and the pennsylvania turnpike n delays or problems here heading to the poconos. northeast extension and pennsylvania turnpike, look good, kind of the nice day to head to the poconos and beat the heat a little bit. septa does have a net for you, septa's center city trolley tunnel will be closed, it is closed for overhead maintenance until tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. trolley routes ten, 11, 13, 34, 36, passengers morning. it is a warm one and those humidity levels will drop and feels somewhat on the humid side but for mid-july we will take it. full sunshine right now, woke up to some cloud earlier, mostly now across southern new jersey or eastern new jersey and southern delaware. that was associated with yesterday's showers and storms that rolled across the region. check out storm scan three, we are dry. from the city north and west we have full sunshine. we have a wrapped warm up today in, threat of rain, we will keep things nice and dry, outdoor plans are definitely a get today all across the delaware valley, and somewhat comfortable start this morning, temperatures generally in the 60's to lower 07's across the delaware valley. so nothing terribly too warm this morning but this afternoon it does warm up, temperatures will be returning well above average for this time of the year. we will get up into the lower 90 as for spots. zero seven in trenton. sixty-three. comfortable in mount pocono. 73 degrees in philadelphia, and lower 70's in dover delaware at this hour. the trend is temperatures in the 60's and 07's this morning with full sunshine and quickly climbing up in the upper 80's along the shore points to lower 90's for inland spots and you'll just see a few cloud develop this afternoon due to the daytime heating but that should in the pro tuesday showers and storms. republican national convention gets underway in cleveland this week and delegates from our area heading to ohio. cher e greg from our sister station kyw news radio is live at a send off rally in exton, chester county. i know the bus just left a few mints ago to go to cleveland. >> they just left. >> reporter: the bus just literally pulled out of the parking lot as i was gearing up for this live shot and let me tell you, rahel, there was lots of enthusiasm as people got on the bus, on that seven hour trip, to cleveland, and for good reason, take a look at the video that we have for you. i mean, this is a huge, deal for many republicans, in our area, and they have said that this has been a time when they were pulling their party together. an estimated 50,000 people, are expect to attend the festivities over the next four days, including the goal, of course to get the g.o.p. delegates from all 50 states to nominate donald trump. he recently announced indiana governor mike pence as his running mate, the first day, of course, focus is security and immigration. on tuesday, the economy. day three, a speech from the vice-presidential nominee and on thursday, donald trump will take center stage. now, during the pennsylvania primary, trump won about 57 percent of the republican vote, and is currently in a dead heat with presumptive democratic nominee, hillary clinton. and, as i mentioned, pennsylvania is sending about 71 delegates to the g.o.p. convention, of those, 54 are unbound and not obligated to vote for donald trump. back out here live the republican leaders that i expect to said that while many of those delegates are unbound, they are going to vote for donald trump and that the party is coming together and they expect unification, by the end of the republican arrive, they will see tight security. secret service has a perimeter around quicken loans center where republicans are holding their convention. julie an a goldman has more on last minute preps. >> ♪ reporter: political conventions tend to be choreographed down to the behind but heading in to this event there are several unknowns. the top concern here is security. protests were at a minimum but organizers and law enforcement are not taking chances. in the last 24 hours the area around the quicken loans arena has turned into a security fortress, streets are closed and barriers block access. thousands of police and federal officials are here on high alert. another question, money. organizers had up cyst ted there are no problems but this weeks political reporter that the host sent the need to make a difference. around 30 volunteers from the buxmont chapter of the national association of the remodeling industry heard about carroll's story and they spent their saturday pitching into husband anthony a war veteran who passed away in 2013. he was 17 when he first served in vietnam. he served two more tours after that and volunteers say they are here to give back to someone who gave starts to lower again and pretty much feeling pleasant, wednesday and into thursday, so really wednesday, thursday, best days to be outside, to escape some of the heat and humidity. cher forecast today, good beach day, it will be hot, 88 degrees in the sunshine. we will get cooling effect in the afternoon as that wind switches out of the south. ocean water 73 degrees. sky conditions we will been. >> absolutely. >> it has been dangerously hot. this is kind of weather that will kill animals. and of course people. people get killed in the cars and pets in the car, it is a real problem. we have got some pictures that i'm showing you right there, the signs of heat stroke, lack of coordination, that is man i'm saying. animals can get in very serious trouble, very quickly in the car, and we've got, our new director, of humane law enforcement of the pennsylvania spca, nicole wilson talking about what this one should do if they find a pet in the car. if you see an animal in unair conditioned car, call 911, due to the restrictions of our staff, 911 police officers can get there much faster and we can assist them once they are on location and they have the begun the cooling process of getting the animal out and starting to cool it down. law enforcement can cool an animal down by putting cold cloths over the animal, putting rubbing alcohol on their and to help with the evaporation and movement of the heat away from the animal, and then get that animal to a vet immediately because animals can suffer significant harm as a result of heat stress or heat stroke. >> nicole is also saying if that petties in the hot car in a parking lot of the store, get a held of the store management immediately but call 911 abe police because they can get there a lot faster. path spca, help line can be called. that is a good number to call if you see a pet in the unshaded backyard suffering because it is very close when they are so close to the ground, pavement is hot and heat radiates up if you see a pet in heat distress give water, naturally. you can also wipe pads with rubbing alcohol, that will help, a little bit the but mostly you have to get that animal to a vet because it is a very serious situation a lieutenant of people, rahel, this time of the year, give their pets a haircut and they think that will cool them off or take that down to the skin. if you have a licensing haired pet it is better leave an inch of hair, because that could prevent sunburn and keeps them cooler air next to the skin. and notice, we're talking about this dog because he brings in some of the heat. he is in foster care right new but look at this beautiful dog. >> so sweet. >> just wonderful animals. only seven months old. he will be available for adoption. did he come in as a cruelty case. he has white ears a lot of animals with white ears because dogs can get sunburn believe it or not. >> yes. >> that has to be protect. the shorter the must will will the more they will
