"eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in the cbs-3 news center to bring us to up date. what can you tell us? >> rahel, jeffrey sandusky was fixture in the courtroom throughout his father's trial on child sex abuse charges. now, he is charged with 14 counts of trying to solicit sex from the daughters of his former long time girlfriend. jeffrey sandusky the 41 year old adopted son of convicted child molest ski, faces similar charges of sex abuse more than five years after his father's arrest. those who help to work abused victims every day like abby newman of mission in montgomery county this news is sad, but not surprising. >> the fact his son is accused of molesting children goes along with statistics that we see that sexual abuse when it is not reported is often inter-generational as well as inter familial. >> state police began investigation into the younger sandusky in november of 2016. this after the father of a then 15 year old girl provided investigators with explicit text messages, his daughter allegedly received from sandusky. some asking for naked photos. the girl's sister also came forward telling investigators sandusky solicited her for oral sex three years ago, when she was just 16 years old. court documents reveal both teens rejected sandusky advances, with one sending a text message in 2016 that red in part: you did what you did and i'm not going to gave you a chance it try and justify it. >> police say sandusky was dating the girl's mother and had lived in their home for about five years. newman, whose center helps more than 500 child abuse victims a year, says statistics show most preditors have easy access to their victims. >> child abusers not only map it late the child but manipulate the family and everybody in the community of that child. so it is not a surprise he was a trusted member of his household. >> sandusky had been working as corrections officer at rock view state prison. he is currently being held on $200,000. his preliminary the oroville dam. you see here crews are moving sandbags, moving rocks to try to shore up massive hole that's open up in the main spillway, also to try to stabilize the emergency spillway that erroded quickly over the weekends. all of this is happening as nearly 200,000 people wait for word on when they can go home. >> cautious optimism in orville california where the oroville dam, the country's tal zest holding and water levels are dropping. a massive hole opened in the emergency spillway sunday, and erroded lands around the still way and damn. crews have been breaking rocks and dropping stand were in the mid or upper 20's, even in the low 30's down in wildwood. haven't seen too much movement on the thermometer through the course of the morning, the big thing, yes, cold, but not hugging the winter coat quite as tightly here. the wind has eased up so nicely. sending the kids off to school, i'm sure they'll be having their whole little valentine day party, got their little bag full of treats as they're coming home, looks like into the upper 40's with sunny skies. so nice winter day certainly. no major hiccups along the way here either. coming up, meisha, there is cool down. the exit ramp. not so much on the vine. but as you push in the westbound direction, what's going to happen as you're driving past there, you're going to have a few little taps on your brakes, kind of little bit of gaper delay peaking at what's going on, but overall the vine actually looking good. see it right there pulled all the way off to the exit. did actually have firetruck that was block that far right lane of the vine. that's now since been cleared. so really, it is just the off ramp to the ben franklin parkway. this will be your back up shot then. take a look what you are looking at there. see plenty of vehicles out there. yes, you are starting to slow down. once you get past where that accident is on the vine, you're actually looking okay. it is just coming up to that tapping your brakes, checking out waist going on, there then on your way again. heads up for those every you headed out the door. plus, also an accident here, garden state parkway southbound approaching route 30, that's now since been cleared. causing you little hiccups, now cleared, shaping up nicely in that area. disabling vehicle here in douglas, a well, route 100 off ramp to farm inning ton avenue of trying to entice two teen girls with sexual and the, charged with 14 counts, including criminal solicitation, and child advocacy groups hope cases like this will lead more child sex abuse cases to report their cases. >> the more comes out of the closet, the more people won't be afraid to report child abuse, won't be afraid to talk about it, and it won't be stigmatize dollars. >> jail for refugia sandusky set for $200,000. his defense lawyer did decline to comment. preliminary hearing scheduled for next wednesday. president trump is dealing with the first high profile departure from his administration this morning. his national security advisor michael flynn abruptly resigned. hena daniels report, it happened after reports that flynn mislead the administration about his contact with russia. >> president trump national security advisor, michael flynn, stepped down monday night. dogged by questions about his conversations with russia. >> transcript obtained by the us intelligence community and given to the white house show flynn repeatedly discussed obama era sanctions against russia with russian ambassador to the u.s. shortly before the president took office. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in the cbs-3 news center to bring us to up date. what can you tell us? >> rahel, jeffrey sandusky was fixture in the courtroom throughout his father's trial on child sex abuse charges. now, he is charged with 14 counts of trying to solicit sex from the daughters of his former long time girlfriend. jeffrey sandusky the 41 year old adopted son of convicted child molest ski, faces similar charges of sex abuse more than five years after his father's arrest. those who help to work abused victims every day like abby newman of mission in montgomery county this news is sad, but not surprising. >> the fact his son is accused of molesting children goes along with statistics that we see that sexual abuse when it is not reported is often inter-generational as well as inter familial. >> state police began investigation into the younger sandusky in november of 2016. this after the father of a then 15 year old girl provided investigators with explicit text messages, his daughter allegedly received from sandusky. some asking for naked photos. the girl's sister also came forward telling investigators sandusky solicited her for oral sex three years ago, when she was just 16 years old. court documents reveal both teens rejected sandusky advances, with one sending a text message in 2016 that red in part: you did what you did and i'm not going to gave you a chance it try and justify it. >> police say sandusky was dating the girl's mother and had lived in their home for about five years. newman, whose center helps more than 500 child abuse victims a year, says statistics show most preditors have easy access to their victims. >> child abusers not only map it late the child but manipulate the family and everybody in the community of that child. so it is not a surprise he was a trusted member of his household. >> sandusky had been working as corrections officer at rock view state prison. he is currently being held on $200,000. his preliminary flood that officials fear has not yet happened. scott maclean is there, joins you now live. good morning, scott. >> the situation here is undoubtedly improving, but really is no easy or quick fix to the oroville dam. you see here crews are moving sandbags, moving rocks to try to shore up massive hole that's open up in the main spillway, also to try to stabilize the emergency spillway that erroded quickly over the weekends. all of this is happening as nearly 200,000 people wait for word on when they can go home. >> cautious optimism in orville california where the oroville dam, the country's tal zest holding and water levels are dropping. a massive hole opened in the emergency spillway sunday, and erroded lands around the still way and damn. crews have been breaking rocks and dropping them on the site in hopes to provide errosion protection. >> with these rocks going in place, the risk factor is reduced. not eliminated. but it is reduced. >> more a numbers game, more rock, more just general mass so we can fill in the holes the better. >> mandatory evacuation order put in place sunday has not been lifted. residents describe the terrifying moments when they left town. there
