We have more breaking news, we have learned that a hit and run in philadelphias overbrook section has claimed the life of an eight yearold girl. It happened around 4 00 oclock at 63rd and landsdowne. The girl was rushed to childrens hospital, there is no word on her identity. Police are searching for a gray or silver Nissan Altima or maxima. Mercer county authorities are investigating whether a local woman made a tragic mistake. Police say she fatally shot a man who she believed was an intruder, but who was actually a friend. He was shot were told at least one time, in the hand, fortunately he was brought to, Jefferson Hospital and he is in stable condition. We want to show you some video high above in the skies from chopper three, this is video from a little while ago and it shows that officer holding his hand as you can see entering the medics to be transported to the hospital. Right now i can tell you there is a very large police restens, all throughout this area in north philadelphia. There have not yet been any arrests made in the shooting, the circumstances still, very unclear, as we are speaking right now. We are waiting to hear back from some Police Officials here on the scene. I can also tell you that the philadelphia swat team has arrived, they are searching this area. Fortunately no one else injured in this situation but that officer, at Jefferson Hospital, right now, recovering from a gunshot wound to the hand.
