to drop a gun when confronting him at this apartment complex. but family members insist that he was holding up a book, in the a weapon. now aside from that man shot in the head last night, we do know that two other civilians were sent to the hospital, with injuries, also, police are confirming this morning that four officers were treated, for minor injuries, and perhaps yet another sign of how sad things have gotten here in charlotte jim and brooke. local cbs affiliate reports that a number of businesses here in the downtown have told their employees to stay home to daze because of the unrest. >> thanks for that update, don, stay safe down there. family of the unarmed black man killed by police officer in tulsa, oklahoma is calling for justice. the attorney for tulsa officer betty shelby says she thought terence croucher was reaching inside his car for a weapon when she opened fire and shot him last friday. croucher's family says that his car window was rolled up at the time showing he could not have been reaching into the car. in other news, turning to weather to day marks the first day of fall. >> kate i is in the weather center with a look at what we can expect, hi there katie. >> yes to day is going to be a more summer-like day then a fall like day but is there a transition that takes effect here and by the time we hit the weekend we will see temperatures start to drop off toward more fall-like values and even below average, conditions throughout the course of the weekend. but let's back it up and start off with the here and now and here and now is going to be of it. brooke, over to you. we are following some breaking news right now from yeadon, delaware county. "eyewitness news" was right on the 600 block of bain road where police say one man was killed just before 3:00 this morning. there have been no arrests in the case so far but police say they are following a trail near 61st and baltimore that could be connected to this case. we will keep you up to dayton tv and on line at cbs philly.com as we learn more about the investigation. also new this morning, a clerk is roughed up during a robbery at a main line convenient store. officers say that it happened shortly before 1:00 this morning at this 7-eleven at city and haverford avenues. lower merion police say the clerk suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital. the 7-eleven is closed this morning while police investigate, so far, no word on the man's condition or a suspect. well, two vineland police officers are recovering this morning after they were attacked responding to a call. >> investigators say one of the officers was stabbed, and several times. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live in vineland to tell us what happened, jan? >> reporter: brooke and jim, good morning. now one of the vineland police office hours was injured yesterday only suffered mine offer injuries, because they were saying some were more severe injuries stabbed a number of times in this altercation. now that officer is expected to recover, meantime this morning, a suspect is under arrest and currently being held on $500,000 bond. lets take a look at the video where this all happened yesterday afternoon. chopper three over the scene on the 700 block of south valley avenue in vineland around 2:30 p.m. police were asked to assist new jersey department of human services workers on a welfare check. when this arrived they found family members and 26 year-old jonathan torres. soon after investigators say there was a struggle between torres and cops and two officers were injured including one who was stabbed in the face and the head. torres was subdued and taken in custody and then to the hospital for treatment. all of the while stun neighbors watched as police responded to this usually quiet neighborhood. >> the fact that he to that it shocked me. i am pretty sure everybody around here is baffled because that is annex stream length to go to and i mean everybody, everyone around here of been turning their heads they have been seeing police cars and we're all wondering what is really going on and new we know. >> reporter: at this time police have not released the name of the officers injured and taken here for treatment, that back to you. fbi released a photo of two men who might have evidence of the bombings in new york. authorities say saturday the men, found a suitcase, containing an unexploded, pressure cooker just a few blocks from where the other bomb detonated in chelsea. they say the men removed the pressure cooker and walked away with the the luggage. the authorities want the luggage back, for evidence. they say that the men are now not suspects. in campaign 2016 donald trump will be in our area, again today. >> republican nominee will rally supporters at sun center studios in aston, delaware county.
