police quickly nabbed a suspect in the late night murder. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live with how officers made the arrest, justin. >> reporter: police were able to find a gun, tried to save that victim and then also found a suspect and brought him here with precautioning with homicide detectives, who are working to uncover a motive. this probe on germantown avenue all began with gunfire wednesday night. >> just after 10:00 p.m. 25th district officers on patrol in the area of germantown and lehigh heard gunshots coming from the 2900 block of germantown after officers. >> reporter: alert officers had a sight of the man lying bloody in the street and man with the gunning running west. >> officer pursued this male for about two blocks at the intersection of 11th and cambria, apprehended him and he drew a gun in the bushes. >> reporter: that gun a revolver was found and the suspect a 23 year-old man was caught and then brought to homicide detectives for questioning. officers also got the victim a 46 year-old man to temple hospital, but he died a short time later, suffering at least two gunshot wound, one to his chest and one to the arm. a city housing authority office nearby keeps surveillance cameras trained on that stretch of the the germantown but police say that there are likely even more angles to this story. >> across the street there is a pharmacy that has numerous cameras and many of these cameras are facing in the direction where this shooting victim collapsed. >> reporter: and back live, so the search for surveillance video, philadelphia's franklinville section. someone took man to temple hospital and he is expect to be okay. no word on whether anyone has been arrested or what motivated that shooting. developing right now in maryland at least seven people are still unaccounted for after a apparent explosion, roxane apartment building. authorities say that nearly two dozen people including two fire fighters were hurt when the building went up in flames. this happened shortly before midnight in silver springs, that is just north of the washington d.c., fire ripped through three buildings with one of them collapsing, two fire fighters were hurt and they are believed to have non-life threatening injuries. there is no word yet on the extent of those other injuries. we have just got this video into our news room this is what the scene looks like from the air fire fighters still spraying hot spots, while first responders take care of those hurt but again at least seven people still missing. it was police say they are part of the major car theft ring. and, officers are still looking for one more suspects. investigators say car theft ring took vehicle identification numbers from wrecked cars and then swapped out those vin numbers on rental cars which were reported stolen. officers, say that they then stole, sold those cars for a big profit swindling unsuspecting victims out of thousands. >> the stolen vehicles were often sold to unsuspecting buyers from anywhere between 5,000, to $20,000. >> this was a detailed intricate criminal organization with many moving parts. >> more than 40 cars were stolen and sold, as for those 32 arrested police say some have already entered guilty plea toss avoid jail time but master mind behind this face 100 years behind bars. investigators are still looking for kareem upshur, they say he fraudulently registered 17 cars with fake insurance policies. >> pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kaine is back in a norristown courtroom as they are trial on perjury and obstruction charges continues. kane is accused of leaking secret grand jury testimony and then lying bit. adrian king, kane's former boyfriend and top deputy, will face cross-examination in montgomery county court. king said he helped deliver material to a philadelphia political consultant. prosecutors say those materials were documents of that grand jury testimony. the franklin institute. it is absolutely gorgeous. it is a warm day. beautiful day, and guys, when i get to do things like this it brings me so much energy because of this. the view, one guy in it is a beautiful time of the year and when it clears up at night you can see gorgeous things. >> in the summer sky there are five constellations that are worth seeing, three of them are directly overhead and rings and the shape that looks like a giant cross in the sky. it is the three constellations that are overhead. other two are down toward southern portion of the sky sagitarrius and scorpion. they might know those names because they sound like zodiac signs but really cool thing is that is where you'll find two beautiful planets, you'll find mars saturn both near scorpion and if you look tonight and tomorrow night you'll see a thin half moon right near them also. that is a great guide. one of the other planets visible jupiter just off to the west after sunset f you see a bright dot in the west that is jupiter, turn around to the south and see other two platt even the saturn and mars. >> you can see these things at night skies star gazing program right here at the franklin institute, tell us about that. >> franklin institute has great evening program in hi you can come here and look through our telescopes and see these planets and some of these stars as well. planets look great because saturn is just unbelievable in a telescope, so if you have a chance to check it out you have to see it, you won't believe what your eyes are seeing is. >> it is light out in the 5:00 , you can see more, what can you see during the day observing. >> great question. the most people figured you cannot see anything. our telescopes are fitted with filth their allow to us look at the sun during the day and what we do is, we dim down brightness of the sun's lights so it is safe to you. we make it safe to view. you can see sun spots on the surface of the sun and we have a different filter that lets us see explosions of the surface of the sun. only place in this region where you can come see this kind of stuff as part of your visit the to the franklin institute. observatory is opened every day the sky is clear, every day even through winter so you can come check out our what our star the sun looks like up close and in person. >> we have ten seconds. >> how quality, and certainly the heat index values are going to be very brutal next few days. take it easy if you fall in the category of allergic or also maybe if you have got any sensitivity respiratory illness or your younger, older, you have to take it easy. but predominant pollen are grasses, chenopods and nettle with medium to high levels. forgo yard work, give it a couple days unless you are mowing lawn early in the morning or late in the day. you have to be careful in this heat. you cannot go by these numbers. we have to pack 10 degrees on for feels like value right through weekend and 4,000-pound of food to the west philadelphia organization called we never say never community center. >> never say never is an amazing organization that helps distribute the food and the books to the families that most need to get through you this month of august. >> reporter: some donations come from employees and a lot from customers. >> we have started this six years ago and every year it is the sound of snoring keeping you awake all night? it could be sleep apnea robbing you of a good night's rest and it can go undiagnosis. >> a cord to go a new report released by the american academy doctor. >> good to see you. really important topic and so glad we are talking about it. >> talk pot difference between occasional snoring and sleep apnea. >> great question people with sleep apnea often do snore but they are very different. sleep april knee, the word apnea means absence of breathing. when people have sleep apnea what happens is they stop breathing for short period of the time, often they don't know bit. but they are stopping breathing. that causes lots of problems. it is because muscles in the back of the airway are not working to keep that airway opening. so it is absence of breathing which is important. >> doctor jen, it is my understanding this goes undiagnosed. >> i see this a lot as a family practice doctor. it is amazing how many people have sleep apnea and do not know it. national sleep foundation says 18 million americans have sleep apnea which is a lot of us. it is a condition to be on the look out for. >> i know there are side effects, and if left untreated i necessity it can lead to other health issues. >> it can. a lot of people say how would i know if i have sleep apnea. as i mention sod people do snore but that is not often, well, that is one of the things we look at but something else they may say, i'm getting eight hours a sleep but i fall asleep when i'm sitting in a chair at work, falling asleep driving, i'm feeling exhausted. that day time sleepiness is a big sign. sometimes lost of concentration, mood issues what happens is we are not feeling our best but the biggest thing that is down the line all these changes, you know, stopping breathing for multiple period of time at night, for small period of time can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, things like that. it is more than just feeling sleepy and that is what i want people to know. >> how do you take the step, leap of faith in getting diagnosed. >> the leap of faith, first of all and it is a leap of faith because you are saying, asking yourself is there something wrong? do i need to do something bit. first thing you should do is see your doctor is there a number of things we can do talk with your doctor about your symptoms in detail. when you come to my office what i want to you do is note all of the medications you are taking including those over counter ones, including benadryl and other stuff. i might they it is important. tell me if you are drinking alcohol or doing anything else before bedtime. ask your bed partner that person you sleep with do you stop breathing at night? are you choking, gasping for air. those are big signs that may lead to us a sleep apnea diagnosis. of course, as a there one of the things i may want to do is schedule you for a sleep study which is main way that we figure out if somebody has sleep apnea or not. >> lets touch on this, lets talk about treatment options. >> yes, this is one of the main treatments for obstructive sleep apnea and that is what we are talking about is c pap machine. >> good we have pictures. >> that is a c pap machine. it is a device people wear over their mouth and or their nose and keeping airway moving so it does not collapse and stop them from breathe agent night. that is main stay treatment. let me encourage people there are and i have had patients just by losing weight are able to get rid of the sleep april knee a make sure you are not drinking alcohol, quit smoking,
