This morning philadelphia Fire Fighters are mourning one of their own, fire fighter died in the line of duty in north philadelphia fire officials identified as gabriel lee of Ladder Company 12. He was found unconscious in the 1300 block of cam bree street and then rush to the hospital. Officials say lee responded to a fire early yesterday, and then returned to the firehouse to work the night shift. Police assembled last night at Temple University hospital, to escort lees body to the medical examiners office. Fire fighters from another station, were on hand to solute the fallen fire fighter as his body was brought out of the hospital. The cause of the death is still under investigation. And in other news this morning, we are just one day away from the Democratic National convention the at the Wells Fargo Center in south philadelphia. Security is tight ahead of the convention. Authorities closed south broad from packer avenue down to the the navy yard yesterday and roadway surrounding the Wells Fargo Center and fdr park are closed off as well. We are only a few hours away, it is hard to believe but there are many, many confused drivers. Take a look behind me these officers have been here all morning as drivers came here to broad and paterson, only to find it closed off and the officers have been giving traffic advice to truck drivers, and to delivery drivers mostly this morning hoff come down here and realized road is closed and they have to reconn figure their route. Take a look at the video. This confusion began yesterday afternoon when the road closures for the dnc began going in to effect both southbound lanes of broad street from packer to the navy yard are officially shut off to traffic until next friday evening. But that is not the only area. Paterson from seventh to fdr park, are closed, terminal avenue from broad to south 11th and south 11th, from terminal avenue. There are other areas where access is restricted to authorized vehicles. Police will be control who comes in and out. The southbound exits, of i95 north will be opened up at on point but the i95 northbound broad street exit is closed. So you can expect higher volumes of traffic, on 76, 676 , and route 291, but of course, all this is to make room for 50,000 people attending the dnc. Luckily this is nothing new for south philadelphia arrest dents who are used to sharing their neighborhood streets. The eagles game, phillies games, concerts, the broad street run. Demonstrators gathered yesterday outside of the dnc rules Committee Meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention certainty. They called for an end to the parties super delegate system. Meanwhile inside Convention Center yesterday, rules committee disputed a proposal will to end super delegates. It is a party or elect official free to cast a vote for any candidates at the convention regardless of whom voters of their state prefer and critics say it is un democratic. Im a democrat because i believe in democracy, i believe in the power of one person, one vote, and we need to make sure that our party, reflect that is principal. The mid 70s at the airport in philadelphia but surrounding suburbs we are in the upper 60 s, chalfont, pal my, yeah malvern 68 degrees. Look at quakertown the coolest spoke the on the map as well as mount pocono checking in at 64. Richboro is in the upper 60s. The on you dew point temperature really tells the story this this is what you want to machine for. Highest this number is more humid it is. Now we are in the lower 60s. That is not bad. Sixty in allentown. Sixtyfour in philadelphia yes , it is a humid air mass but these numbers do go up once again later tonight and certainly tomorrow. So for today, it will be feeling humid to the steamy side, better than yesterday though, tomorrow we will crank it backup to oppressive arc lot of humidity around fueling a shower or storm. Slight decrease on tuesday but still feeling rough out there, and then wednesday start to net that is humidity drop. It does stay hot for the next several days, you may not net is a difference with temperatures in the 90s.
