"eyewitness news" reporter just continue finch is live outside a id with the latest on the investigation, good morning, justin. >> reporter: well, brook, jim, good morning. the as you mentioned the search is on for a pontiac suv driver that struck a man, dragged him and left him for dead. police do now have that suv in their custody but now they are after the driver. lets take you to video as about 9:30 last night, 24th district police responded to calls of a hit and run with injuries. the scene here aramingo and lehigh where police found a managed 35 unconscious with several injuries. he later would die at hahnemann hospital. eyewitnesses told police that rick tim was riding a vespa type met or vehicle. they saw a pontiac, going south on aramingo and then turning right on to lehigh. that is where that pontiac reportedly hit the man, knocking him from his met or bike at that port richmond corn are. the pontiac dragged that victim some 200 feet on westbound lehigh where he was later somehow shaken free. pontiac with its new york state tags was later found at cedar and madison also in port richmond, in sign though of the driver. the accident investigation division is working the case, and meantime police are reminding drivers to remain at crash scenes, whether there are injuries or not. >> we're certain that the driver was striking the vehicle will and realized what he did and the fact that he didn't render any aid that you drove from the scene, after causing this fatal auto accident. now we are looking a at some serious charges. >> reporter: there are indications this morning that police have an idea who this driver is and where that driver may possibly live. that pontiac suv is being processed for fingerprints and dna. police have yet to see the victim tied last night. we are live from outside a id, justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". brook and jim, back over to you good thanks, very much justin. five people are hurt after an overnight fire rips through a row home in brewerytown. authorities say flames started in the basement around 2:30 on the 2900 block of nicholas street. crews were able to get the fire under control and then in a half an hour but we're told, we're told injuries are not life threatening. right now investigators are trying to figure out how the the fire started. meanwhile in other news a 14 year-old girl is expect to make a full recovery after police say to that she was stab during a school fight. it happened just before 9:00 a a.m. yesterday morning at jay cook elementary school in logan. philadelphia school officials say two girls were fighting in the third floor hallway when one girl grabbed a pair of scissors, and stabbed her classmate in the upper chest and arm. the alleged suspects aunt spoke with "eyewitness news". >> what was the fight over. >> he said/she said, i see this boy, female stuff, regular school stuff that goes on in this year for some reason. >> the 14 year-old's injuries were not believed to be life threatening. pennsylvania will soon be the 24th state to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes. the state house overwhelmingly approved the medical marijuana bill yesterday and now it heads to governor tom wolf who says he will sign the bill sunday. refund you will get it faster, three weeks compared that to six to eight weeks for paper filed returns. by the way you can file up until that 11:59 p.m. deadline on april 18th. >> what if you cannot meet the deadline. >> that means you will go on extension. six month extensions are a veilable with form 4868, again, by midnight april 18th, otherwise you will face some nasty penalties for late filing and late payments, it can total almost 50 percent of what you owe to your tax bill. remember, extensions have a major caveat, irs gives you extra time to file but not to pay. you have a's got to estimate your tax liability and pay at least 90 percent to avoid a penalty. if you don't have money on hand to pay taxes owed, do not hide, a free 120 day extension to pay the bill. use an "eyewitness news" reporter just continue finch is live outside a id with the latest on the investigation, good morning, justin. >> reporter: well, brook, jim, good morning. the as you mentioned the search is on for a pontiac suv driver that struck a man, dragged him and left him for dead. police do now have that suv in their custody but now they are after the driver. lets take you to video as about 9:30 last night, 24th district police responded to calls of a hit and run with injuries. the scene here aramingo and lehigh where police found a managed 35 unconscious with several injuries. he later would die at hahnemann hospital. eyewitnesses told police that rick tim was riding a vespa type met or vehicle. they saw a pontiac, going south on aramingo and then turning right on to lehigh. that is where that pontiac reportedly hit the man, knocking him from his met or bike at that port richmond corn are. the pontiac dragged that victim some 200 feet on westbound lehigh where he was later somehow shaken free. pontiac with its new york state tags was later found at cedar and madison also in port richmond, in sign though of the driver. the accident investigation division is working the case, and meantime police are reminding drivers to remain at crash scenes, whether there are injuries or not. >> we're certain that the driver was striking the vehicle will and realized what he did and the fact that he didn't render any aid that you drove from the scene, after causing this fatal auto accident. now we are looking a at some serious charges. >> reporter: there are indications this morning that police have an idea who this driver is and where that driver may possibly live. that pontiac suv is being processed for fingerprints and dna. police have yet to see the victim tied last night. we are live from outside a id, justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". brook and jim, back over to you good thanks, very much justin. five people are hurt after an overnight fire rips through a row home in brewerytown. authorities say flames started in the basement around 2:30 on the 2900 block of nicholas street. crews were able to get the fire under control and then in a half an hour but we're told, we're told injuries are not life threatening. right now investigators are trying to figure out how the the fire started. meanwhile in other news a 14 year-old girl is expect to make a full recovery after police say to that she was stab during a school fight. it happened just before 9:00 a a.m. yesterday morning at jay cook elementary school in logan. philadelphia school officials say two girls were fighting in the third floor hallway when one girl grabbed a pair of scissors, and stabbed her classmate in the upper chest and arm. the alleged suspects aunt spoke with "eyewitness news". >> what was the fight over. >> he said/she said, i see this boy, female stuff, regular school stuff that goes on in this year for some reason. >> the 14 year-old's injuries were not believed to be life threatening. pennsylvania will soon be the 24th state to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes. the state house overwhelmingly approved the medical marijuana bill yesterday and now it heads to governor tom wolf who says he will sign the bill sunday.
