by the afternoon, mid to upper 80s, to close to 90 degrees foreign land spots. labor day forecast, if you are around the city it is a hot one, 90 degrees, little cooler at the shore, poconos, mostly sunny both locations, high temperatures in the low 80s, we will talk about even hotter numbers coming up in the seven day in a few minute, but let's get a check on the roads, meisha, a good morning. >> good morning, oh, my gosh, such a great day to be by the water, wouldn't it? just sounds perfect. well, we do have report of a very serious accident, in center city. snow is broad street, westbound, at arch street. two lanes are blocked, in both directions. so, the accident is broad street westbound, but again, two lanes blocked in both directions, if i were you, even though it is still early, the volume levels are nice and light. i would still certainly use alternates, move around that, because of all of the flashing light, you can have people outside, just move around that, try to stay clear that far area for now. also, vehicle fire, markley street atwood street, one lane blocked there, so you can still get by despite the vehicle fire. here's a live look outside. see just that haze outside. good indicator that it will be probably very humid today. like we heard justin talking about. this is 42 freeway northbound at creek road. for those every you coming in from jersey headed toward 295-6789 see headlight out there. this is very, very, very slow. also, schuylkill eastbound at spring garden, you can see, again, here, i mean, when i say slow, i mean just light volume levels. no one out on the roadway, everyone on their vacation holiday weekends, just as they should be. erika, back to you. >> meisha, a thank youment back to breaking news right now, those two pedestrians we told but struck and kill by attacks i cab in center city. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now at broad and arch with the latest information. jan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, details here on scene are still extremely limited, but yes, as you mention, we have confirmed from the philadelphia accident investigation division, that two people, two pedestrians, were struck and killed by attacks i cab in a early morning accident here in center city. live behind me here, on scene, you can see, still have very active scene. we've got the low police tape, investigators there, taking look at what happened. and the badly damaged taxi cab, still behind us, here on broad street. now, they're not releasing a loft detail, but this is what we know so far from the accident investigation division. they tell thus accident happened right after 4:30 this morning, two pedestrians, two people, were struck and kill by that tacky cab. obviously, pronounced dead here on scene. the driver of that taxi cab, 30 year old man, was taken to hahnemann hospital. no update on his status yet this morning. what you are taking a look at is the accident at the intersection of arch and broad street there is whole area is shutdown at meisha mentioned, broad street shutdown from race to center city, city hall there. so if you are going to be in this area, you want to keep in mind that this area shutdown right now. still waiting on more word from investigators on scene exactly what happened here. that is the big question right now is how did this accident happen. but again, two people, two pedestrians, killed. another man, a driver, taken to hahnemann hospital. no update on his condition yet this morning. still unclear how this accident happened. as soon as we get more information, we will bring it straight to you. but for now live in center err city. jan carabeo, cbs news. >> community is rallying around a family of teenage girl who died while attending a sleep over with her soccer teammate at a south new jersey home. authorities say 14 year old kara lemonwitz died in her sleep. they spent the night outside in a tent at sewell home. teen was found unresponsive saturday morning, pronounced dead at the scene. she was a member of the eastern regional high school girls soccer and lacrosse teams. no deal tails right now on what caused her death. an autopsy is pending, but investigators do not suspect foul play. friends of the family have started a go fun me page to help with funeral costs. so far raised $22,000. now to campaign 2016, and there is a big shake up in the democratic presidential pole numbers this morning, new survey shows hillary clinton is on the way down while vermont senator bernie saunders pulls ahead for the first time. don champion has that story. >> reporter: bernie saunders travels to manchester, new hampshire today, riding a wave of good news. a new pole shows he surged ahead of hillary clinton therefore the first time. presidential election held today, then sanders would beat clinton 41% to 32%, if vice president joe biden was in the race, the state survey shows him in third place with 16%. in iowa, clinton's 24-point lead in july, has been cut more than half to just 11. clinton has been dogged by constant questions about her private e-mail server, while she was secretary of state. she won the 2008 new hampshire primary and campaigned thereon saturday. >> airport, upper 50's still at this hour, as well as lehigh valley berks county. mid 60s wilmington as well as the capitol city of delaware, 07 degrees at the airport in philadelphia. coastal temperatures feeling pretty nice, some 50's, 60s, near 70 degrees along the jersey shore and delaware beaches. quiet on storm scan3, we do have cold front well to the west. it will take its time to get here for the middle of the weekment until then, just dominated by high pressure right over the mid-atlantic keeping the skies mostly clear, that blocks any major storm systems from developing. if you were along the beaches, earlier this weekend, some rough conditions, strong rip current, but a lot of the off shore buoys coming down, at seven, 8 feet earlier this weekend so, less chance for strong rip current. today low risk but make sure the lifeguards are on duty if you plan ongoing swimming again just chilling at home, along your pool, backyard, hooks great. hot, 09 degrees, wear the sun block, uv index strong, mostly sunny skies, that will be the trends once again tomorrow. soap, for today, up around 90 for the inland spots, mostly sunny, warming things up, little bit more not, use broad street. you will not be able to get through. so use your best discretion here, give yourself couple of extra minutes in and around the area. i'll have update and let you know that gets cleared up. right now broad street closed. here is a look at the schuylkill eastbound at spring garden, see just beautiful shot. you can see that water, nice, flow, everyone traveling, around posted speeds around at posted speeds. no one speeding out there. such open roadways. 202 northbound at the schuylkill, you can see, look at this, we just do not see this typically when i'm here in the 6:00 hour, even though still early we normally see a lot of volume starting to pick up. this is so nice for those of you traveling in and around the area and from jersey and the ben franklin bridge. no injuries are not life threatening. work to go determine a motive by the suspect. meanwhile, illinois community prepares to bury fallen officer. fox lake police lieutenant joseph glennwitch shot and killed while chasing three suspect. thousands are expected to attends his funeral. to be held in his hometown. police are continuing their search for the suspect. with police putting their lives on dollars defense of the people in blue. she posted the video hours before someone smashed a window in a miami dade police car. earlier this year, someone torched two south florida police cars in front your phone, and locks it, holding it hostage. the real threat here is that if they get control of your mobile device or your computer, and they put some type of virus in there, they can use that device at a later date for something else. now, even if you pay the fine, there is no guarantee that scammers will unlock your phone. experts recommends download g mobile security app to alert you of a virus. all right, apple fans, time to get excited again. company has another of those super secret press conferences later this week. and this could really just mean anything. in the past few years, apple used events like this one to announce new phones, or iphone upgrades. apple could also introduce new apple tv or even larger ipad pro, perhaps. but whatever it is, that press events start at center city. two pedestrians are struck and killed by attacks i cab. the fatal accident happened around 4:30 this morning, at broad and arch streets. no word yet on the identity of the victims. the cab driver was taken to hahnemann hospital. we're told he's being checked taught see if he suffered from medical condition possibliment intersection at broad and arch is closed right now while police continue to investigate. well, meisha just mentioned there is labor day weaken meaning the end of sumner philadelphia, the stage coming down after another successful made in america festival. the clean up underway right now on the ben franklin parkway, and that's where "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now, maybe pitching in, helping out little bit. justin, good morning. >> hey, erika, they don't need my help out here at all. labor day, is a day on for an army of workers who are out here on the parkway, breaking down and cleaning up after as you mention another successful made in america here on the parkway. i want to show you the stage to my right here. we have been watching it come down slowly all morning, it is about finished as you can see, but take a look at the grounds down there. all of that trash, we can now see, with the sun up, lot of bottles, papers, and a whole lot more. it will take a lot of elbow grease, rakes, brooms, to bag up all of there trash. we take to you video, though, of the bigger part of the job, big job here, the concert area spanning from the base of the art museum steps all the way down the parkway to about 20th street. before the clean up, there was litter everywhere. left behind by tens of thousands of people, perhaps, as many as 70,000 on saturday who turned out for year four of the two day concert series. now there is year, more than 60 act, up to five stages, main stage here, featured beyonce saturday, and rap artist the weekend close it out last night. now, back out live, i want to show you more here. if you look down the parkway there, by the flag, see, there is still a lot of debris on that end of the parkway. you move up, you see this long trail of trash look side by side; the trash and clean up of major change, in what the work is happening here, the people are doing here throughout the morning and overnight. see closures, spring garden nearby, trucks, and of course the space, to hall out all of the garbage, move away the tents, lot of portapotties, un sold beer sold here as well. it will be cleared up at some point perhaps at the latest mid-morning, perhaps, early afternoon but no sooner big job after a francis, his visit now just 19 days away. almost here. and we are now learning a ticket scalp, new scam that's happening, ticket scalpers lying to profit off of the pope. hundreds of people on ebay and craigslist are trying to sell train tickets during the pope's visit for up to $40. now, that's four times the face value. the big problem for the sellers those tickets aren't even close to being sold out. you can still get the regular price once. septa spokesperson urging those interested in a ticket to visit their website and pay the standards rate of just $10 a ticket. no need to buy from a scalper. well, scare for some septa riders, pictures surfaced on social media appearing to show bed bugs on buses. "eyewitness news" reporter, alexandria hoff tells us the transit agency already taking action. >> between twitter, stain gram, facebook, this photo has been shared over 10,000 times in just two days. >> look, oh, my gosh, that's bed bug. >> robert roberts junior sitting in back after route six bus friday evening, he immediately told the driver about the discovery, and then shouted the fellow passengers. >> i said yo this bus got bed bugs. so everybody got off the bus and they ran. >> many of them running to posts on social media. that's where septa was brought in the loop. >> as soon as we saw the tweets and the instagram information about it, we contacted the person who took those photos. and said: where did you see them? >> this picture was a parentally taken around the olney oregon area. route maps specified that the bus in question could have been one of three. >> we took those off the street. we'll fum gate them immediately. >> septa's jerry williams says buses are cleaned every day. >> every two weeks we do full house cleaning. we go through, we actually wipe down the inside of the bus, and then, every month, every single month, we fume gate our buses. >> robert, jr., feels that the fumigation schedule should be revved-up to two, three times a month. specially on the heals of a new school year, and the arrival of pope francis. >> we have people that sleep on this train, and they leave behind these bed bugs, and, you know, it is up to septa to get this situated. you know? it is nasty. >> septa couldn't tell us if those were definitely bed bugs in that photo, but they say they've been treating the issue as if they were. they also added that they've been slowly transitioning and phasing out of those fabric seats to a molded plastic, but that they don't have to deal with issues like. >> this reporting in north philadelphia, alexandria who have who have, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> speak of septa, do you follow their police chief, thomas, on twitter?
