Headed to the bathroom, the sealing was just collapsing behind us. Hurricane arthur, rained out, or even changed fourth every july plans as far north as new england. Well, 6 15 right now, this Holiday Weekend store visitors arent getting exactly what they hoped for. Hurricane arthur may be weakening, moving off shore, but it is still causing some dangerous rip tides. As eyewitness News Reporter cleve bryan tells us, art surround not spoiling all of the fun. Down the shore. Just little number it comes to the weather, but most greatful hurricane arthur passed far off shore, this is just the beginning of a big Holiday Weekend. Whether playing arcade games, people found plenty of reasons to celebrate the fourth of july despite rainy start. Hanging out with friend, going walking on the boardwalk, having breakfast, going into arcades. Weve had a great day. The beaches were bear, but people knew it was only temporary as the rest of the weekend promises to provide plenty of sun and fun. Yesterday was beautiful. Tomorrow were going parasailing. Who knows, take the good with the bad when youre at the beach. So what are you going to do . Ill have some. Get out of here, knucklehead. Snack and Souvenir Sales made for happy businesses. It is great. Stopped raining, everybody came out, i think well have a good night. A clear indication that the jersey shore is shaping up to the good Holiday Weekend, but there is one concern. Hurricane arthur kick up big waves that are great for surfing, but dangerous for the casual swimmer. Rip current warnings will remain in effect saturday, bathers need to pay close attention to the lifeguards instructions, and do not go swimming after hours. Would below them out of the water, tell them were going home, strongly suggest they dont go in. Many beaches will have extended hours, until 8 00. If you are going to one of the other shore towns you need to check in go you are planning ongoing to the beach in the evening. In ocean city, cleve bryan, cbs3, Eyewitness News. More than 3,000 people still without power, after downed tree limbs, actually dent in the darr at the intersection of the parkway and ashburn and cheltenham, montgomery county. Now, luckily, the child in the back seat wasnt hurt. Thats good news. In chester county, though, one tree actually fell onto two cars, closing north calm road. One of the drivers suffered minor injuries. Definitely some damage here and there, carol. But largely spared. Wouldnt you say from arthur at least in our part . Oh, yes. I mean, i think though the rain that we saw, and also, the high surf, thats problem pi going to be the most lingering memory of it. Weve got blue skies now, though, arthur is long gone, it is being push out, leaving on its own, High Pressure is here, and look what High Pressure can do when it feels lick it. And this is what it feels like to do today. And weve got low humidity, so the air mass is so comfortable. It is such a departure, from what we dealt with during the week. Our temperatures are great. Our sky conditions are beautiful. Not just through center city, but also, in the poconos, look at this, you can see the shadows, so obviously full sunshine there. And it is beautiful at the shore, too, today, and notice the people are already out on the boardwalk, as weve been talking about this morning, remember, there is the High Surf Advisory along the shore line until noon today. And a moderate at least risk of rip current along the shore. But the farther away arthur gets, the seas will calm down. Still i think this is one weekend that you, but because of the churns that arthur did, careful if you go into the ocean water. Make sure ear area near that lifeguard. 64 degrees if philadelphia, 61 in trenton. 62 degrees in wilmington this morning. It is cool and comfortable out there. These temperatures, actually, i think, look a little warmer than they feel when youre outside, because with the breeze and the low humidity, it is quite a departure. Temperatures are in the middle 60s at this point along the shore line, and look at the ocean, 59 degrees, so it has cooled way down. The ocean was in the 70s last weekend, 59 degrees today. So storm scan3, quiet in our area, arthur is up here, and leaving, and weve got just High Pressure building in. It comes in, invisible when it comes in so it doesnt come in with a lot of fanfare on radar screen, but boy can we feel the difference, it is definitely out there. So sunny, nice, temperatures getting to the lower end of the 80s today, tomorrow more upper end of the 80s, 87 degrees or so tomorrow. High pressure still here. And then, with this front, were going to be watching for this warm air to start to come up. So as long as thats back to the west, the heat and humidity start to pour up here and temperatures will be getting into the 90s monday and tuesday and we will be very close to the 90s once again on wednesday. Future weather, what do woe see . Not much except for sunshine, by monday there is computer model would like to bring some showers off to the west soy, expect to find dry weather at least for the next couple of days. Eightyfour in philadelphia today. Eightyseven tomorrow. Full sunshine, and low humidity. If you are in a pool, watch out for the rubber duckies and this. Oh, man. Bob kel coy pop up in any pool. One of the most frightening things of summer, bob kelly with a snorkle mask. Full sun today, fast cooling, because of the dew points being solo, youll van rate that water off very quickly, you will feel chill when you get out of the pool, if you are like enough to have one. Same deal with the ocean, too, temperatures of 78 degrees, ocean water is 59 degrees. So problem bring wrapped up in a a blanket. Seventyeight at the shore and poconos, slightly warmer 84 threw through philadelphia, but everybody extremely comfortable, slight breeze, sunshine, clear skies tonight. Terrific night ahead. Tomorrow looks almost just as nice, monday we get more humid at 91, and warmer, and 92 on tuesday, is there a shower late in the day on tuesday . Well see. Then wednesday, maybe chance of a shower or thunderstorm, sale deal on thursday, and so it looks like a warm, very typically summer like week after a gorgeous weekend, nicole . And carol, you have got to get a lock for that political gate. Im telling you.
