M. , southbound lanes every west depford township. Fifty people were on the bus including the driver, the collision caused a tractortrailer to jackknife, seconds the bus into bushes on the side of the highway at last check no word on what cause that crash. So, lets start with eyewitness News Reporter pat gallen. Hes at one of our areas most popular destinations, wildwood, new jersey, good morning, pat. Good morning, guys. There is no doubt about it, this is one of the most popular amusement parks, along the jersey shore, when we kick off summer fest, why not kick it off right here in wildwood, and specifically, here at moreys pier, where i got a chance to hang out behind the scenes, see how they get ready for summer at their water park. Check it out. Memorial day weekends, unofficial start of summer. And a time when tens of thousands flocked the beach. This is where so many memories at the shore are made. Moreys piers in wildwood, new jersey, this is where families have been coming for the last 50 years. Since the late 70s, moreys pier has helped us cool off at the hot summer days at their water park. The first generation every water slides actually came in 78 or 79. The original slides were on a hillside and they were concrete. So these ones behind me are some of the very, very first ones in the world that were built out of fiberglass. As they prepare for another season, they gave me a behind the scenes look just what goes into it. We start underground. Activity pool. It is about 175,000 gallons, and this micro processor right here continually monitors the chlorine, ph levels, our water temperature. Above grounds the turnstiles will be busy. Between memorial day, labor day, come visit us at both of our beach want water parks. It means all hands on deck at the water park and beyond. The water park, we hire about 300 full staff members, thats lifeguards, food, beverage, maintenance, and we have about 1,500 total throughout moreys piers. We saw the lifeguards getting red. I one, two, three, four, five, six. And the pool being prepped. As summer 2017 kicks off. Some interesting stats in there. Over a quarter Million People coming through moreys piers water park during really a 90 day portion of the season. All of those people, in just zero nine days, pretty impressive stuff. Water coming through the pools, also, when you come down here, dont be afraid, it is not going to be cold. Keep it at around zero eight to 85 degrees during the peak summer days, had it around 88 degrees at the lifeguards in there getting prepared for the summer rush. We go north every trenton, out in lawrenceville, peter telling us 58 degrees. But again little bit of sunshine now breaking through that cloud cover. And then we will head all the way back down to the beach, and there we go, 61 degrees, this morning, jamie down in dividing creek, still little bit of cloud cover, though, 61 e right now, down in south jersey. As we get a look at whats happening on the storm scan, not too much out there. We have maybe a few stray rain showers, but the good news is again that cloud cover is now starting to thin out. Temperature wise, sitting in the 60s and high 50s, so it is a mild start to the day for many of us, it will be a little breezy later this afternoon, and you see in the future weather here, cloud cover is really kind of thinning out. Thats good news for us. We will be again watching for stray showers. You can see it popping up there right around 2 00 or so, probably not even widespread chance whatever were showing on the future weather, then that sky will clear out as we head through tonight, and into tomorrow morning before cloud cover does start to move back in a little bit tomorrow afternoon. 77 degrees for our High Temperature today.
