communities out in the midwest this morning. baseball sized hail fell in parts of the area, high wind took down trees, power lines and tore off roofs and some areas funnel clouds left paths of destruction. >> oh, my god look at this. >> reporter: severe weather including more than 20 tornado sightings, devastated communities throughout the midwest on tuesday. this massive funnel cloud was caught on camera by storm chasers in central illinois, at least four tornadoes were reported near the town of the was, one person was killed after a tree uprooted and at least 50 homes were damaged. this woman says that she escaped the storm with her life. >> had to do the best i can to survive. my whole street is wrecked. trees are down. >> are you okay. >> reporter: in missouri strong wind tossed cars off interstate 55, one driver was killed, at least two twisters hit the town. neighbors helped each other escape the ruble left behind. this woman rescued after her home was destroyed. >> i just wanted to do what i had to do to survive. >> we have seen stuff flying through the air, signs, bunch of roofs down. >> reporter: severe weather system is moving into indiana and ohio while tornado watches are posted from oklahoma to kentucky, through the morning. meantime, elsewhere in the plains, strong winds in texas spread wild fires there, officials say that the flames forced
