The scene bomb squad is investigating the scene, there is some broken glass, there is some damage to the range where would you cook. There is some blood. But there is not a loft structural damage at all inside the property, broken glass, some damage to some kitchen furniture and some blood. But nothing major. The important thing to know right now is we dont know whether this was an explosive device, intentionally, mailed to this house, to explode and cause injuries, or this is some sort of accidental explosion of some chemical some medicine for this 62 year old victim. All of the other males, packages, initially felt, were suspicious, have been cleared. So nothing suspicious in the house right now. So about ten people have been evacuated from other apartments, and houses on both sides, theyre going to be returned. Because there is no threat now of anything else, explosion, just a crime scene now with atf personnel. No pen ten hal explosions pi tonight point. Slowly get everything look at every single piece of debris to determine exactly what explode provided, whether or not there was intentional or accidental explosion. It could be either at this time. We dont know. It is is it a still an investigation in process. Who delivered it, Postal Service or fed next. We are not certain. We believe it was delivered sometime before 5 00 p. M. Monday. That was the only package delivered . The rest were other mate aisle else . That i dont know. Has anybody, any of the veteran investigators here ever heard after inhaler exploding before upon owning after being delivered . Yes. I did talk to some of the bomb squad personnel and they say it is very, very rare, it is a folk accident, but an inhaler can accidentally explode. So there is a possibility that that is the case today. We really dont know. So was it an inhale their was in the package . We dont know. That i dont know what was in the package. We believe it was some type of medication. Was the man conscious still . Or did the blast knock him out in addition to the other injuries you mentioned . As far as i know he didnt lose consciousness after he received his injuries, he went downstairs, and into a bathroom, because there is some blood down the steps, leading to a bathroom, where i guess he tried to get cleaned off. As far as i know he remains conscious. His injuries are both of his hands, and chest, but there is blood in the apartment. So he did bleed. But he is in stable condition at jefferson hospital. What are his injuries again . If. Both of his hands cut and cuts to his face. Do you have an idea what the range of the blast was when he opened it up and it hit him . I dont know. But, from what i understands, he was in the kitchen, and he was opening up this package when it exploded. Anyone taken in for questioning . We, we are questioning his 36 year old roommate. If you are just joining us, we were listening to Philadelphia Police chief inspector scott small.
