i couldn't wear my eagles suit today. >> the fact that it is cold outside doesn't help. so am i allowed to say it is cold today? >> i think, yes, i think that's fair. >> i didn't even notice it. although, meisha said it was cold this morning, so three to one, okay. >> exactly. >> i'll bailout. >> didn't dress like me in the summertime. >> outnumbered on this one for sure, jim. wait until you see the feels-like value. some of the spots are chilly or cold, whatever descriptive word you choose to use, cooler out there for sure, generally the theme this week. specially tonight, as we see our first frost advisory take effect. now here is storm scan, pretty quiet. i will say the winds is virtually non-existent where i am currently standing but we do have pretty stub chantal breeze. looking at the frost advisory, take effect 2:00 a.m. tomorrow. so right now there are no frost advisories posted. but it is starting to feel little cool out there. now you do need a light wind for frost to form. that's what's going to take place later tonight. notice very good solid majority, included in that, meanwhile, here's how it feels. okay, jim, take a look at mount pocono. that's cool. let's be fair. it feels like 29 gross right now, but they've got stiffer breeze up in the mountains than we do right here in philadelphia. so, what you see is essentially what up get on the thermometer in philly. it is 50 degrees, feels like 50 degrees, and it feels more like the mid or low 40's in a lot of the outlying suburbs, but when you look at the winds speeds again i don't notice that winds here in on the skydeck, but down at the airport the latest observation still 18 miles per hour of the wind flow, north-northwest wind at 10 miles per hour in atlantic city. as the day progresses we expect nothing but sunshine, but only going to rebound so far. in the sunshine we hit about 64 at best for daytime high. that's solid five below the average, so, not terribly colder than average. sure will feel like fall. as we mention that season's first frost advisory takes effect tonight. but generally speaking, and this is the good news, we've got pretty quiet week of weather ahead. coming up later in the show i'll walk you through any hiccups we may find along the way here. meisha, very few and far between. >> i was going say, katie there is week really looks nice. nice, no rain, as far as we can see, great news, great thing to wake up, and a lot of sunshine. yes, on a monday, we want to hear. bring bryn looking quiet. those of you jersey headed in the westbound direction, center city, what you are looking at. looking real nice. blue route headlight southbound directs, starting to pick up here at ridge pike, you can see kind of steady stream of headlights at this point. overall still looking pretty good there. and 422 headlight in the eastbound direction, at oaks, again, looking pretty good there. looking a lot like what we just saw on the blue route. overall holding steady. i would say everyone still traveling at posted speeds, going to change, at least moving in the 6:00 hour. we can expect that in some areas. but right now, still talking about construction, no accidents to report, 42, both directions, between 544 and 295, traffic shift here, in new jersey, also, right around that same area, 295 both directions, between 42 and route 168. there is a traffic shift there, as well. more construction for you, take a look at this, in hatboro, byberry road closed right now between new street and penn street. this will be going on starting at 9:00 a.m. today. this will go through friday at 7:00 p.m. so, in this area, you will have to use this alternate montgomery avenue probably going to be your best bet. and when we look at the drive times, guys, look at that, all green, exactly what we want to see on a monday morning, jim, over to you. >> now to the campaign trail. hillary clinton and donald trump faced off in their second presidential debate last night and clinton wasted no time going after trump on his taxes. >> it is sort of amuse to go hear somebody who hasn't paid federal income taxes in maybe 20 years talk about what he's going to do, i'll talk about what he's going do. his plan will give the wealthy cover ration the biggest tax cuts they've ever had. more than the bush tax cuts by at least a factor of two. >> then the mod rate or asked trump the question most want the answer to. did he avoid paying taxes? >> did you use that $916 million lost to avoid paying personal federal taxes. >> of course i do, of course i do, and so do all of her donors or most of her donors. >> while the candidate attacked each other the audience asked questions about issues including healthcare, muslim american relations, clinton and trump have one more debate next week in las vegas. social media is playing a big role not only in the debate, but the overall campaign. the people at twitter say 17 million debate related tweets were sent last night. during the debate, clinton questioned the nature of some of trump's late night tweets. here is how trump responded. >> happens to be modern day form of communication, you can like it or not like t i have between facebook and twitter have almost 25 million people. it is a very effective way of communication. so you can put it down, but it is a very effective form of communication. i'm not un proud of it, to be honest with you. >> so, what were viewers tweeting about? >> all right. please include me. >> okay. >> all right. >> i wouldn't wear a clown mask. >> i'm part of the team. >> i don't want to think about this. >> clowns are not scary. they're nice. >> those were. >> thanks, thanks so much, jill. >> all clowns are scurry -- scary, i think, i'm not a clown lover. no offense to the clown lovers out there. >> just about a half hour from another atlantic city closing it doors for good. you're looking at live picture of the taj mahal casino. you can see people walking the picket line as we zoom out there in shouting. it is happening. you can hear them definitely. casino slate today shutdown at 6:00 a.m. it is the fifth casino to close in recent years, owners blame the local 54 union for closing the casino. union workers were on strikeout side the casino for more than 100 days, demanding better benefits. nearly 3,000 workers will lose their jobs, once the casino closes today. a septa bus driver is recovering from a tough night. police say someone tried to rob him on the job, it happened in delaware county. investigators were called at around 9:00 p.m. last night to bridgewater and chester creek road, the chester transportation center they say a man approached the driver as he was driving the route 117 bus and tried to rob him. the driver was able to stop the bus and call police, but investigators say the man tried to attack the driver in the process. police arrested the man and the driver did not need medical attention. >> cbs-3, the "cw philly", and komen philadelphia, are all teaming up once again in the fight against breast cancer. >> moore college of art and design in philadelphia is among the building's glowing pink, as you know, october is national breast cancer awareness month. the pink lights are a reminds tear schedule a mammogram and stay vigilant in the fight against breast cancer. this is the 15th year for the light for the cure campaign. you can find more information at cbsphilly.com/cure. >> well, there are ronald mcdonald houses all over the world, but philadelphia's was the first. the non-profit sports families, whose children have serious illnesses, by providing them a home away from home. >> and this month, the non-profit wants to you help it carry out its mission by putting on pair of the iconic red and white stripe socks. benefitting the philadelphia ronald mcdonald house, make a donation, post, to raise money, too, and organization that is great at that is the philadelphia police department. we have officer, captain, supporting the cause this morning. how much money have you raised for the philadelphia ronald mcdonald house over the past two years? >> over the past two years, raided ooh thousand dollars. >> incredible a lot of hard work you guys do, night and day i hear? >> yes, it is one of the things we eat and sleep during that time, red and white everything. we open up our red and white boutique and go to town. >> i know the captain has a little mobile she drives around town as well raising money. >> absolutely, her and another officer they go around, and they've been fantastic, i stay actually in the offers and get a loft of people to come in and purchase sales. and captain van and the other officer, officer april garner, she goes around and does fantastic jobs, bringing back more money. >> and officer i hear this this rahami specifically has a special place in your heart and why you really give that extra effort for them. what's that for? >> you know what actually it was up a in delaware, but this particular house, it was a blessing for me to participate. when i was first asked to come down to center city, to work with the deputy commissioner, he had told me about a lot of the community events that he wanted me to get involved in. when i reached out to the ronald motorcycle mcdonald house with and the rest is history. i was able to participate. the first day that i came in for their breakfast, they gave me a pair of socks, and that just went down in history for the police department. >> you actually stayed in one in delaware? >> in delaware, yes, absolutely. my youngest daughter, she has multiple disabilities. she had quite a few surgeries, in the early 2,000's. and we had to stay there couple of times. and although i only had to stay for a few days, i know what it is like to your child doesn't get sick on an opportune time, so you need every opportunity to find a place to stay, and food, and that's one of the things that the ronald mcdonald house studios here, little milder here in the city. in the urban areas, really what you will find, even through tonight, but, there are cool conditions out there for sure this morning, a lot of 40's to report, then, later tonight, the first frost advisory of the season going into effect for many of us. i do want to check in with eyewitness weather watchers, important to note we still do have flood warning now actually extended into southwestern kent county and portions of sussex county as well. we do have observation from there from the watcher, do have one in middletown delaware right now, little north, northern portions of kent county but jason reporting it is chilly outside, and advising to wear the extra layer, i absolutely concur with. that will going little further off to the north in fact we go into nottingham, where fran is reporting in chester county nice generally clear sky, 45 degrees, and very similar look as well from ed connor chester feel where it is nice and clear outside. he did mention it is a little cooler out there, lower humidity, and he goes out with a dog multiple times in the morning, already out twice already, he's up and adam probably ahead of jim on his step count right now, just saying. i'm kidding, kidding. so we take you out to storm scan3, all pretty quiet locally. high pressure on our side, renmant moisture what's left of matthew pulling away still a concern for down east atlantic canada, out of our hair. high pressure now building in, you get what we call the pressure gradient inbetween low and high pressure, kind of like wind tunnel effect. not going to be really windy day but enough that you will notice it. now, later on tonight that wind tapers off. low temperatures are going to be the mid 30's, good portion of the area. and talking about anywhere basically outside of the i95 corridor, and immediate vicinity, so sensitive plants. they could be susceptible to damage. keep that in mind if you have your mums outside, you might want to cover them up. look ahead to tuesday night, yom kippur takes effect at sunset, 6:27, specifically when the sun will set in philly at 56 degrees under clear and cool condition. meanwhile, moving forward, there is really not much weather in this forecast. cold frontal passage comes thursday night into friday, knocks temperatures back, but looks like very weak system when it comes to moisture content meisha. so we keep it dry for the next couple of days. >> nice, that's going to be such a relief for so many people that don't like the rain. kind of like myself. i know we node it, but i don't want it. ninety-five south at academy, pushing in the southbound direction guys starting to heat up here. as you push toward center city only going to get busier. so this is what you look like, boulevard moving in the southbound direction before the schuylkill, what you are looking at here, starting to heat up. but i have to say for a monday morning with dry roadways, monday morning can always get real busy. things actually looking pretty nice you guys. schuylkill headlights moving in the eastbound direction, this is near gulph mills. you can see, both directions, i would say starting to heat up here as well. new jersey 42 freeway northbound at creek road, typically what it looks like on a monday morning right around this time as we push toward the 6:00 hour. so looking like i said typical there, typical in the world of traffic, not bad thing. accident here though however, 95 south at harvey road, for exit ten, right lane block here. kind of in this same area. little bit of construction, 59 north between delaware service area and christianna, right lane block, that will be block until november 7th. we will be living with that for little bit of time. also some more construction in jersey route 42 northbound both directions between route 544 and 295, traffic shift here, same vicinity also 295 both directions between 42 and 168. traffic shift there, as well. jim,
