"eyewitness news" reporter trang do live outside einstein medical center where the victim is under going surgery. good morning, trang. >> well, good morning, rahel, jan, yes, victim in critical condition, police have not p yet been able to talk to him, not been able to develop a motive in this very strange shooting, with both the shooter and the victim driving on the same stretch of roadway but in opposite directions, take a look at the video of the scene overnight, shooting happened just after 11:00 p.m. , police received several one calls about a man shot near the intersection of somerdale and cheltenham avenues. multiple gunshot wounds, but there was also another person, attempt to go renner first aid , medics then rushed the victim to einstein medical center in very critical condition. now, chief inspect store scott small says witness accounts anibal is i can evidence is suggesting both the shooter and victim were in the driver seats of their cars, headed in opposite directions, on somerdale avenue. he says the victim was stopped at a light, when the gunman pulled up, and opened fire. >> passenger car door window also shot out. we found projectile in the driver seat of the victim's vehicle, so it appears that he was sitting in the driver seat when he was shot. police are interviewing several witnesses, shooter driving white car, possibly 2010 buick. also to delete that video, which a logical person might say it must be worse, then what could it possibly show and why would you delete it unless it shows culpability toward some crime? >> now, the judge should not be held responsible for his death >> father reunited with his three year old son after carjacker takes off with the toddler still in the back seat "eyewitness news" was there as police returned the little boy to his father. the ordeal started at the roosevelt mall around 4:30 yesterday afternoon when the father left the child inside the running car, while he went into a store. the suspect reportedly hopped in, drove north on the boulevard, for about a mile before stopping to place the child on the sidewalk. >> this is an investigation of the special victims unit: since real victim here was three year old child, helpless , in the back seat of his father's car. >> now, police stopped the stolen car on the 6800 block of torresdale avenue just after 7:00 last night and arrested the suspect. fortunately, no one was hurt. and authorities in camden country investigating a deadly overnight crash that killed a pedestrian. chopper three over that scene, on route 38, near longwood avenue, cherry hill. this was just before 10:30 last night. authority tell us one person was hit by a vehicle and died at the scene. it is unclear if the striking vehicle stayed on the scene. eastbound 38 was closed at cuthbert boulevard while authorities investigate. >> authorities say an argument over a parking spot in south philadelphia ends with a woman being pepper sprayed in the face. now, police are looking for two suspects. this all happened on july 24th , just after midnight , near pat's steaks, on the 1300 block of east passyunk avenue. police say after the confrontation over that spot, the suspect, man and woman, walk away to buy food. when they returned, the female suspect appeared to pepper spray the victim. >> something minimal that could have been resolved with a bit more civil at this, ended result nag crime. >> honestly, i don't feel like anyone should be pepper sprayed. >> street park something public, so there is nothing to dispute. >> both suspect got like putting on a blind fold. interesting. >> you can see an eclipse or you can see everything else. so basically it is one or the other. but yes. you want to make sure you have the approved by nasa pair of sunglasses, because yes, that's quite dangerous. regardless, you know, we want to bring it back here to planet earth. take a look at what the weather will look like for our area here in the next couple every days, and i have to say, while still unsettled weather to talk becomes things are looking up for the weekends. so getting right on out to it, we take look at much wider zoom, pretty heavy cluster of thunderstorms with very strong storms in fact embedded with within this over oak home, a part of southeastern kansas right now. that won't have any direct impact on us, but it is where your eye just gets immediately drawn. we however will be dealing with yes big mess going on around the ear seaboard, but we really just have one overall frame of time, that's going to be impacted by this, specially second half of the day, then into tomorrow. and then, the mess clears out of here for short time. there is a bit of activity as well off of the florida coastline, and i want to start there, by talking when we talk about the tropical implications that this could have overall just 10% chance every development, for this batch of showers and storms. not to say that florida won't be impacted by showers and storms, but at this point it is a low chance of development that's over the course of the next five days, meanwhile still tracking this guy at this point still, 40% chance of development. now that we've had franklin the next name on the list would be gerth if something were to materialize out of either every those disturbances, and we'll let you know, but no direct impact on the immediate shore line for us. meantime if you did have a beach weekends planned, can i not tell you how many emails i've got friend folks around the station, how does it look for the weekend, all-in-all, i would still go. if you're planning to be there all weekend long, temperatures in the water right now mid, upper 70s, today, i wouldn't call it the best beach day, primarily dry. water temperature, 76, up to 79 at the shore, tomorrow, not perfect. it is mainly cloudy, but there will be showers, storms, rumble in, especially second half of the day. but by sunday, meisha, we clear it out. so sunday definitely the nicer of the two weekends days. >> yes, look at sunday, monday , they look gorgeous, katie, yeah, thank you so much very good morning. we made it to friday. looking good outside on the roadways, a lot of construction looking all morning long, good news a lot clears out around 5:00. a lot of is moving out of the way. route one fox street, taillights moving in the southbound direction, headlights northbound direction, you are looking good. certainly heat levels, but really on a friday we don't see that happen too much. not going to get bumper to bumper conditions until probably the 7:00 hour. route 202 at baylor pike, headlights moving in the southbound direction, looks like frozen camera there. ninety-five tail light, this is around the airport area, no delays at the airport by the way. nice conditions out there. so looking good. both in the air and on the roadways. looking nice. other than some construction, like i said, good news 5:00 rolls around, a lot of the crews pack up their stuff and they move on out. that's what we were just watching happen on 59 south at the betsy ross bridge. ramp was closed two, right
