Reporter now rocked by a mail bomb sent to a 60 yearold man who lives in the first floor apartment near 18th street and pine. He did suffer injuries to his face, to his torso, and most severe injuries were to his left hand. Reporter investigators are not formally releasing the mans name but sources tell cbs3 news that the victim is jim, who works for brulet catering. Spokesperson says that the company is cooperating with the investigation. We are going to look at every possible motive, that comes across our radar. Reporter it appears that this time officer dorion youngs career is quickly coming to an end, with the Philadelphia Police department. Putting it very plainly District Attorney Seth Williams says you cannot use a gun to try and end an argument. This is Philadelphia Police officer dorion youngs mug shot, the 25 yearold veteran of the department, an officer with the 15th district, is accused of shooting his own son, divine young, in the back. The shooting followed an argument between father and son over a car, on labor day. The fight would only intensify. Young started to wave his pistol in the air yelling quote you are my son and you you are not going to keep disrespecting me. Reporter prosecutors say officer young left his son to call 911, tensions were about to boil over, in his sons bedroom. The prosecutors say that officer young broke down the door, drew his personal weapon a 40 caliber pistol and fired two shots, were told one bullet pierced his own shoe, second one hit his son. His son was shot in the back at the time, being shot in the back he lost his spleen as a result of that injury and part of his colon, as a result of that injury. Reporter investigators say, he he was initially presented with the crime both father and son struggled over the gun. But the d. A. s office says evidence disproves that.
