good morning, justin. good morning, that's right, many commuters waking up trying to figure out a plan, that strike, that impact, is being felt here, at the frankford transportation center, and you can see hine me here, the rales are not running, and those trolley buses are lock up as those transit workers have now hit the picket lines. >> where are we? what do we want? who are we? >> "eyewitness news" at the mid vale bus depo where striking staff began their walk-off and down in south philly just after midnight, our cameras were there, and rolling, at the bus after bus pulled into that depo, atop the buses reading septa off duty. sign that strike is now underway. the drivers and depo staff pick up their picket signs and began protesting, close to 5,000 bus, trolley subway works cents working -- walking offer the job. transport local 234. now, further north at city hall, we saw buses making their final stops, many waiting in the area, and near the clothespin, for a bit take answer back by what they just experienced. and we're wondering just how they would make it home this day and for however long this strike will last. and again, back out live out here, no buses, no trains, no trolleys running at this hour. frustration dipping in, simmering overnight, and to doubt will run even hotter this morning, as more commuters wake up, make their way out, figure out how to get to work and school. coming up at 5:30, we'll hear from bus riders and other commuters who were stranded overnight, and what they are saying about that experience and this strike. rahel, jim, back everyone is going to be affected today. so what we are looking at right now how can we simplify all of this information that we have and bring it to you step-by-step as we get it. so this is with a we know right now, you guys, not in service, this is not in service right now, city buses, subways, trolley routes ten, 11, 13, 15, 34, 36. then what is in service? regional rails are the only running transportation in the city. then we have norristown high-speed line, suburban buses, trom i routes 101 and two, lucy, cct connect. so, what's this mean in the general sense? well, you will absolutely have to allow for some extra time, also, carpools, taxies, other means of transportation, if at all possible, adjust your schedules, actually on the septa website, if can you adjust your work and school schedules, you certainly want to do soment p.m. train train fares collected before boarding, heads up on that. plus take a look, some additional information you might want to no, i may be tweeting this all out for you. city government open for business. in parking on broad street between spring garden and south street. bus zones available as drop off pick up locations and also there is free shuttle for city employees along broad street, market frankford line. we know we are dealing with over-crowding. we have been all summer long for some other obviously we know what's been going on all summer long, take that over-crowding and you put it now on to the strike. it will be a headache for so many people. >> just a nightmare when trying to get out the door as it is, when it is a busy start to the day. but, at least i can report that the weather's not going to have any kind of impact on you here today. you will want to have the extra layer to go when you walk out the door. winds for daytime high in the sunshine, though, few additional clouds with time, but don't worry about any wet weather at least not today. eventually there is another cold front scheduled across, doesn't come until thursday, so, up until that point, there is another big warm up, and then eventually another big temperature dropping. we will outline ought every those details for in you your full broke out just after midnight, on the 3200 block of calmly road. one person was trapped on the second floor, another victim in critical but stable condition, after suffering first and second degree burns, and the other two people are stable, no word on a cause. happening today, free trial hearings begin in the bill cosby septa assault case, judge will hearing arguments over what evidence should be allowed during the trial, prosecutors opportunity have 13 accusers testify to show a pattern of prior bad acts, cosby's lawyers want those women to take competency and memory tests since some affect my commute? so i bring you all of the information that we have in the most simplistic terms we have them. so first, what you need to nope, this is what is not in service. we have city buses, subways, subways, trolley routes ten, 11, 13, 15, 34, and 36. make note of this. so, in alignment with that, what then is in service? so with a we have in service, regional rails is the only running service in the city. plus we have norristown high-speed line, suburban buses, trom i routes 101, and 102, lucy, cct connect. >> then there is some parking changes as well around the city. so heads up on this. solo have flat rate of $10 per ten hours in certain garages. make sure to check the parking garage you typically use, check those out. also, no parking on broad between spring garden and south street. drop off and pick up, in the bus zones, so heads up on that. a lot of were you wondering about that. and also, you guys, this is just an extra note that just came in. there is going to be extra hour added to meters and kiosk, as well, so, for example, if you run over your time, a little bit, you are going to be graced with a extra hour in most areas. so that's good to know for a lot of us running into some problems this morning, parking becomes an issue, that's going to help you out a little bit. then we have some extra tips. allow extra time, probably no brainer, but certainly give yourselves some extra time, we will be dealing with a lot of over-crowding, plus, if you can finds alternate means of transportation, you certainly want to. carpooling, taxi, other means, anything that you can do to try to avoid any of these better either shutdown or that you can expect over-crowding, you want to do so. also, adjust your schedules if possible, schools, appointment, at work, the rest of it. katie, i cannot even stress how much this is going to affect not only our morning commuters, afternoon commuters will be affected, our p.m. commuters will be affected. >> this starts to nudge in, that warm air is really going to send us on spike on the thermometer, which you will see in the seven day, but we will take you few the next few days pattern wise, high pressure that's the story, today, that's the story, tomorrow, not the story on thursday, though. that's when our next cold front becomes the main weather headline, it does bring in some additional rain probably even few thunderstorms out there, generally into the p.m. hours. so afternoon, toward evening, is what we are thinking for the timing there. temperatures as they stands now, chilly. you are in the 30's in a lot of spots, only 42 at the airport, below freezing even in quakertown. get you through the rest of today though, expect high to hit very typical 62 degrees, normal high on november 1 is 61 degrees. so we're very close to that. we expect to drop down to only 49 tonight. no where near as harsh as last night was. even then without the winds wasn't that bad. looking forward in the forecast, good stuff. 76 degrees come thursday, tomorrow's my personal favorite, gem after day with the sunshine, but the rain comes in late in the day on thursday, then, the bottom gets pulled out morning, after he pulled 87 year old woman from her burning car, the woman was driving on the flat tire and on her way to a doctors appointment when the tire caught fire. doctors check her out and she is okay. >> well, police say a 12 year old boy may have been drunk at the time of this car crash in pleasant valley texas. police don't know how he started driving the suv. but he crashed head on into another car, kept going, and crashed into a pour pole. the young man could face several serious charges, two people in the other car were not seriously hurt. >> well, we are hearing the voice of the
