Yesterday fellow firefighters carried the casket of Christopher Leach in wilmington, also a service for jerry fickes, both died fighting a fire last week at a wilmington home when the floor collapsed beneath them. As we just heard both fickes and leach leave behind children, two other firefighters were still in the hospital. Meanwhile, the woman accused of starting that fire is in jail. Twentyseven year old Beatrice Ruiz is facing murder and arson charges. Fifteen people remain hospitalized as the Investigation Continues into the new Jersey Transit train crash in hoboken, new jersey. Brook silva bragga outside the hoboken station with more. Reporter investigators say theyre having trouble removing the forward facing camera from the commuter train that crashed in hoboken, could be couple of more days before they have full access to the site because of asbestos concerns. There is no perishable evidence aboard this train. And information on the event recorder and the forward facing video will not be affected by this delay. Witnesses say train 1614 was traveling too fast when it slammed into barriers, then went airborne before plowing into a wall. Debris rained down on commuters. The investigation will also look at whether technology called positive train control could have prevented the accident. The technology is scheduled to be implemented here at the station within two years. If speed was a factor, positive train control is all about controlling speed. It is all about stopping a train when it exceeds a speed limit. The crash killed 34 year old Fabiola Bittar de kroon, more than 100 other were injured, including the trains engineer, 48 year old thomas gallagher. The new Jersey Transit section of the station remains closed which is causing travel nightmares for some of the thousands of commuters who use the system every day.
