I think it is outrageous for the common person, you know, youre looking at, you know, few more dollars out of your pocket every week. It is hard already. So going up it, will make it worse. Reporter gas prices in the state will take 23 sent per gallon hike between a deal of christie and Democratic Leaders friday. Eight year, 16 billion transportation program, would also eliminate the estate tax and cut the sales tax by. 3 of a percent. Over the next eight years, when you can buy funds contributed by the state, and the funds by the federal government, over 32 billion will be invested in infrastructure, improvement, modernization. The deal hopes to replentish the states Transportation Trust fund, which pays for road and rail project. Hundreds of those project were halted in july when the fund ran out of money. Vice President Joe Biden plans to attends a Memorial Service this afternoon for two fallen firefighters from wilmington. At 1 00 at the chase center rivers riverfront. Yesterday fellow firefighters carried the casket of Christopher Leach in wilmington, also a service for jerry fickes, both died fighting a fire last week at a wilmington home when the floor collapsed beneath them. You know, deep down, it was all about their kids, the second was the fire service, and their families. They absolutely loved fire fighting. As we just heard both fickes and leach leave behind children, two other firefighters were still in the hospital. Meanwhile, the woman accused of starting that fire is in jail. Twentyseven year old Beatrice Ruiz is facing murder and arson charges. Authorities say she was drunk and using anxiety medication when she started the fire and her familys lakeview road home last week. Fifteen people remain hospitalized as the Investigation Continues into the new Jersey Transit train crash in hoboken, new jersey. Brook silva bragga outside the hoboken station with more. Reporter investigators say theyre having trouble removing the forward facing camera from the commuter train that crashed in hoboken, could be couple of more days before they have full access to the site because of asbestos concerns. There is no perishable evidence aboard this train. And information on the event recorder and the forward facing video will not be affected by this delay. Witnesses say train 1614 was traveling too fast when it slammed into barriers, then went airborne before plowing into a wall. Debris rained down on commuters. The investigation will also look at whether technology called positive train control could have prevented the accident. The technology is scheduled to be implemented here at the station within two years. If speed was a factor, positive train control is all about controlling speed. It is all about stopping a train when it exceeds a speed limit. The crash killed 34 year old Fabiola Bittar de kroon, more than 100 other were injured, including the trains engineer, 48 year old thomas gallagher. The new Jersey Transit section of the station remains closed which is causing travel nightmares for some of the thousands of commuters who use the system every day. Reporter good morning, thats right. Rahel, the Vice President is expected to join the public and first responders, as they gathered in honoring these heroes. A day after family, friends, and fellow firefighters, laid lieutenant Christopher Leach and senior firefighter jerry fickes to rest, a public Memorial Service on saturday, will honor their lives. It has been rough t has been rough on everybody. Both firefighters died september 24th, while battling an Early Morning blaze, in the 1900 block of lakeview road. Officials say, the flames caused the first floor to collapse, trapping firefighters, in the basement. Trapped in the first floor, firefighter trapped. May day. Both leach, 14 year veteran of the department, and fickes, who served for 13 years, leave behind children. Deep down inside they were both firemen, both family men. Reporter authorities charged 27 year old bee tress ruiz who lived at the home with murder and arson, while drunk and on anxiety medication intentionally set the fire out of anger then fled the scene. Seven people were home at the time. And four other firefighters were also injured in that blaze. Happening today, philadelphia will honor fallen heroes, the 62nd annual hero thrill show start at noon at the wells fargo center. A few days ago members of the Highway Patrol Motorcycle Drill Team gave little preview in center city. The hero thrill show benefits the families of Fallen Philadelphia Police officers, and firefighters. Authority now say a suspect shot and killed by police after a stabbing spree in cobbs creek was shot 109 times by nine officers. Police say chris stabbed his eight year old son and his sons friends, choked his daughter and then ran near 62nd and hazel wednesday night. Off the ers track him down after he allegedly stabbed a 70 year old woman. Investigators say police asked him to take his hands out of his pocket. He did so abruptly, and officers opened fire. Reasonable to believe that this may be a case of something called contagious gunfire. If there is one officer who react quicker than the rest, and fires, and this was, in fact, a very dangerous volatile situation based on what they new, although officers hear that gunfire and they believe they are now under fire. The commissioner ross says the victims now are doing better. Police in california, showing Fatal Shooting of un armed black man by police, the release of the footage comes after days of protests in the san diego suburb. Cbs news correspondent Chris Martinez reports now from los angeles. Surveillance video from a taco shop drivethru shows the start of tuesdays confirm takes. Thirtyeight year old alfred elongo seen pacing in the parking lot as two officers move in his direction. Cell phone video shows what happened next. Police say he drew an object from his pocket, and pointed it in the officers direction, taking what they call a shooting stance. Thats when one officer fired his taser, the other, fired fatal shot. It turns out, he was holding a Electronic Cigarette device like this one, his sister says she initially called 911 to get help for long owe who was behaving irradically. When police arrived, they say he refused to follow their commands. Noncompliance, wont get his hands out of his pocket, walking all over the parking lot. This is officer ed saving a deer that got stuck in the fence. The officer used a saw to cut the fence before finally freeing the deer. Now it appears the animal is okay, see him running away there, good news there. Well, a big cell phone scare for south jersey, student, his phone suddenly burst into flames in the middle of class. Eyewitness News Reporter alexandria hoff talked to the student about the most surprising part of the fire. Out of no where joint purr of smoke, terrible smell, like burned plastic.
