We could see fairly significant effect as long the coast. We did pick up much needed rainfall yesterday. Last night and into this morning pottstown picking up close to an inch, of new rainfall. Burlington picking up. 8 of an inch. Threequarters have of an inch in fort washington. Storm scan three showing us that rain starting to wind down and clearing skies right now, in the poconos and lehigh valleys to a cold front throughout the area we will continue to clear out as we head in the evening hours. No problems there but storm scan three showing us big problem for a lot of as you long the east coast. This is hurricane hermine. It will make land fall on the florida peninsula heading later tonight. Hurricane and Tropical Storm force watches and warnings along the eastern seaboard and now National Hurricane or National Weather service issued a Tropical Storm watch for parts of the Delaware Valley as well including the new jersey shore and delaware beaches. So we will look at our forecast models, as hermine continues to make its way up the coast as we head in the next couple days. Models indicating hermine could linger off shore but the main time frame of concern at this point looks like it will be saturday night and sunday along the coast where we could see strong winds, dangerous rip currents, high surf, coastal flooding and some very heavy rainfall. We will take a look at our wind projections. Remember this is just one particular model, one update of one model that has hermine along the companies and we head into saturday. This is saturday night where we could see Tropical Storm force winds when you hit that 39 miles an hour threshold and go beyond that that is considered Tropical Storm force. Were in that range along the coast and westbound to the i95 corridor as we head saturday night and through the day on sunday and then as we head into sunday evening and sunday night hermine will shift off shore and see those impact lessening but we could have very windy conditions across the area, this saturday night into sunday but overnight tonight, no problems. Clearing skies, cooler down to 65 degrees. Tomorrow a Beautiful Day before we need to Pay Attention to the upcoming weekend. The mostly sunny. 82 degrees. Dew points dropping. Still muggy in the city but dropping off to the north and west with dryer and cooler air building in on the back side of the cold front. We are at 72 degrees in mount pocono.
