Reporter joe, brooke, good morning, the judge has said that kanes perjury trial to last about a week, and this morning begins opening arguments, before a jury of six women, six men, and of course alternates, we can tell you hours after Kathleen Kane her legal team and her twin sister first arrived to the norristown courthouse, pressed on questions, including if they would struggle deciding kanes case, or if they had ties to her office, Law Enforcement or potential witnesses. Kane is accused every felony perjury for allegedly lying about leaking secret grand jury details to the philadelphia media. There are also misdemeanor charges of obstruction, official oppression, conspiracy, and false swearing. Almost a year ago, the state Supreme Court voted to revoke kanes law license in the wake of her perjury indictment. Kane has insisted shes a target for her expose ago state workers found trading offensive and expolice it emails, the socalled scandal forced two state Supreme Court justices to step down, and several of kanes own staff, and some may take the stand against her. A postal worker found a gun inside a mailbox, about three blocks away. Harrisburg officials are calling for calm after a 20 year old was shot and killed by police after allegedly threatening his mother with a knife. Police say they found earl pinkney holding a knife at his mothers throat. When he supposedly refused to drop it, an officer fired one shot, killing pinkney.
