"eyewitness news" reporter anita oh is live at jefferson university hospital where two victims are being treated, good morning, in a neat a. >> reporter: rahel we have learned that the victim is a mother of the two-year old boy her husband and son are two of the six people that hit and run. philadelphia police say that it happened last night around 8:00 at intersection of the 21st and jackson streets, in south philadelphia, that is where they say a white toyota avalon driving very fast ran through a stop sign and collided with a minivan, skidded and then crashed in the asian family of three walking by. that mother, only 38 years old passed away here at jefferson hospital about half an hour later and police say even after the impact the driver of the toyota a avalon never stopped, after tips from witnesses investigators found the driver less than half mile away on the 2,000 block of snider avenue. >> i have never seen a car door i am bald on a vehicle like that, and that, the evidence on that car made it easier to find the car we were looking for. >> reporter: the driver of that carries a 36 year-old man and we're told he does have a previous record but no charges have been filed at this time. police say he is looking at the homicide and reckless endangerment charges. husband and son of the victim remain here at stable condition in jefferson hospital. other four people were injured were two adults and to second children from that minivan. anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news" live at jefferson hospital. new this morning philadelphia a police are looking for a suspect and motive and a stabbing. investigators say someone stabbed the 26 year-old victim outside a cvs drugstore at broad and girard. it happened around 12:30 this morning and victim is in stable condition. later today in miami hillary clinton will make her first campaign experience with her running mate. last night she used social media to announce she has chosen virginia senator tim kaine as her vice-presidential candidate. our coverage begins with "eyewitness news" reporter, nicole brewer. >> did any of you watch that convention in cleveland? >> reporter: during a rally at florida state fair grounds, hillary clinton kept the crowd guessing decide to go tweet her vice-presidential pick friday evening. she wrote i'm thrilled to announce my running mate tim kaine a man who devoted his life for fighting for others. she sent this text message which read i'm thrilled to tell you this first, i have chosen tim kaine as my running mate, welcome him to our team. the 58 year-old virginia senator, who also served as lieutenant governor and governor of that state is bilingual father of three but claims he is not very interesting. >> i am boring, but, you know, boring is fastest growing demographic in this country. >> reporter: in an interview with charlie rose this week, clinton reacted to that assessment. >> i love that about him. he has got a great, i mean he has never lost an election. he was a world class mayor, governor and senator. >> reporter: while in tampa clinton had far less flattering word for donald trump. one day after the republican national convention wrapped up in cleveland. >> last night's speech took it to a whole new level. he offered a lot of fear and anger and resentment but no solutions about anything that he even talked about. >> reporter: on monday clinton will be in filled a, for the start of the democratic national convention, but before leaving florida met with family and friend of the victim involved in the pulse nightclub shooting. >> we have to stand against hate and bigotry. >> reporter: nicole brewer, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". clinton/kaine ticket will have its first joint interview on 60 minutes that airs tomorrow night at 7:00 right here on cbs-3. after all of the planning philadelphia has done on get ready we are now just two days away until the opening gavel of the dnc. for four days philadelphia will be the center of attention for practically anyone who pay as tension to politics. driving in parts of the south philadelphia difficult. last night penndot closed i-95 exit ram tops broad street, exits will be closed off until next week and starting at noon there will be more road closures, including south broad from packer avenue down to the navy yard and roadways surrounding the wells fargo center and fdr park. this is in effect through friday. in an inclusive head of the
