Their paths crossed sunday morning around 3 00 on 18th and rittenhouse when someone in the group, reportedly said something, about the suspects hat. He turned around abruptly, he walks back to the four of them, and the suspect and two males are in each other faces and fists start swinging. They go to the ground. The at that point the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times. Reporter several hours later around 7 00 the suspect showed up a at Veterans Administration hospital with a cut to his hand requesting a mental evaluation. We got an anonymous call from someone saying that he was at the veterans hospital, in reference to when he got there, he did tell them he was involved in a confrontation.
