"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now, with details for us, justin, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. police say shooter is 65 is being cooperative and already turned over the 45 caliber hand gun he used to shoot his two, 20 something attackers, and already detective are talking to witnesses including shooter's wife who is watching rather where she saw this fight end with a firearm. lets take you to video from last night, chopper three was over queen village just after 8:30 on tuesday night. the focus was 700 block of second street near bainbridge where third district police report that the six five-year old male and wife were walking home when they met up with two minaj 20 and 21 years old. we know young man and older man did exchange word. those words turned to blows with the six five-year old suffering bruises to his face, eyes and mouth as well and scratches to his body but he also managed to fire three shots police say, in each of his two attackers one time. the 20 year-old in his chest, 21 year-old in his neck. the both of those men were taken to jefferson the shooter was taken to methodist hospital and police say he was taken there in custody after he handed off his weapon to authorities. the investigation does now continue including the question if this can be called a case of self defence. >> there is speculation he had a permit to carry but we have to check that with the computer and make sure everything is registered legally and nothing is expired and serial numbers match and all those things good as for those two young men shot, we understand both are in critical condition. police say once they recover they will be interviewed by south detectives. there is surveillance video of the scene we're told one that could catch the crime the 5900 block of north lambert street in logan. fire fighters work quickly to bring that fire under control. the the cause of the fire is under investigation. a police chase lasting more than 20 miles, end with seven suspect gang members in custody. we have video of that chase ending on the schuylkill expressway. investigators say suspect tried to flee, it all started at wendy's, one in
