The the jackpot for tonights power ball drawing is the largest in february, more than 300 milliondollar. Odds of winning, about one in 175 million. The the power ball is played in 44 states, including pennsylvania, new jersey, and delaware from the game changes after tonights drawing. It will be easier to win a smaller prize but jackpot odd climb in one in 292 million. So those odds, for the big, the big money makers go way up. I didnt get them yet. I will go right now. Okay. J. D. , if you were a betting man would you go with gfs or euro model. That is a tough call. Euro nailed down sandy, so right now, they are total opposite. So, it is you have to look at consistency over past few days. T is you have to look at euro has been consistent but gfs is in line with the few other models taking it more to the carolinas and give it another 24 hours or so, lots going up on in the upper atmosphere that these models just cant handle just yet. As we go to the storm scan three. That is steady rain, pick up over an inch in philadelphia. That is good news. We do need rain but not good news because we have another round of heavy rain coming up though as we head in the friday time period. So because of the cold front that is sliding through. That front just gets hung up just off the coast of the del marva and new jersey. No low pressure will ride along it bringing a wave of moisture later thursday into friday. After that we will focus off to the south, and east. There you go there is joaquin right now spinning east of the bohamas just waiting to get pick up by the jet stream which is situated over southern part of the United States. And until that happens, joaquin just sits down there so things are getting delayed a little bit. Lets talk about what is happening for the the next couple days. Front clears our area bringing in the cooler air. Tomorrow mainly dry day, late in the afternoon evening we will see some showers returning, as an area of low pressure rides along that front. This is not associated with joaquin, also wind will be kicking up out of the north east. We have strong High Pressure over new england. Low pressure to the south. That pressure difference will cause that persistent on shore flow, and periods of rain continue friday, coming to an end early on saturday and then we will watch joaquin as it tries to get drawn up northward in the midatlantic coastline for second half of the weekend. The wind will be a problem. It has been like that over past week or so, jersey shore and delaware beaches president wind this weekend gusting to 50 miles an hour. That is just because of the pressure difference with the large high over new england. That is not much to do with joaquin. Beach erosion likely. We are seeing it. Rough surf, wave heights could get six up to 10 feet leading to coastal flooding. It is rain out for you. Not much happening tomorrow. Late in the day we will see steady rain moving from the south. It will pick up in intensity on friday. Friday, periods of rain, if we capture a break it looks like by saturday afternoon, and then all eyes head south to joaquin. Heres latest advisory. Wind at 85 miles an hour. Still moving southwest at eight. Expected to intensify to category two and three over next 24 hours. Look at that forecast track has shifted a little bit further to the left now. This is resembling of the forecast for gfs which takes it into North Carolina, focusing the heavy rain to the south and west. That is good. Through saturday at noon time over an inch of rain possible due to that cold front and then we may throw on extra rain because of joaquin depending on the track but the highest amounts came close to nine or 10 inches just to the south and west but we can pick up three or four or 5 inches in philadelphia overnight mostly cloudy, stray shower, cool, 58 degrees. Tomorrow breezy day, mostly cloudy skies. Rain arrives late. High temperatures feeling like fall at 63. Heres that three day forecast. We will bring back steady rain thursday night into friday, temperatures on friday only at 58 degrees, and it is windy as well. That wind continues the saturday, it looks like best rain chances saturday will be in the morning and then hopefully we will get a dry break saturday afternoon before, we could see effects of joaquin sunday into monday. We will see what happens. Plan it out another day or so. Thanks, buddy. New exhibit is opening at the academy of Natural Sciences, some might find a little creepy. Oh, vittoria is live there with some friend, vittoria. Reporter hooray, you guys, you know how much i love reptiles and snakes. Thinks a blue tongue, these guys are from australia but they are known for that bright blue tongue that comes out. When these guys are scared, they open up their mouth and make a angry hissing noise because bright colors in nature means hey stay away from me im usually poisonous. He is not. He as big brightening and all about showing off. Super friendly. When he was in the cage it feels like there is, it looks like there is no bones but this is a little harder then what you expect. They are all rib cage. They ever tough scales on their back that looks like snake scales but they are arm or plated when you feel them. Been they have these stuby legs that help them move around but is there not a whole lot to them. He is very friendly. We are hanging out with gee gee cos as well. These are giant ones. This is like ninja of madgascar. They are masters of camouflage you see them hanging out on the trees and stuff like. That they blend in perfectly. A awesome. There is so much to do and see. Great family fun for everyone. And, again, exhibit is called reptiles the beautiful and the deadly. You have to come here to the academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University to check it out. We will be, in front of i think some sort of gigantic snake a little bit later on. Hooray, you guys. So we started with the friendly and beautiful. Now we are hitting up the deadly. The path path gallon was at eagles practice today where sam bradford tried to give some answers. Through three weeks many people are wondering if, and when, we will see a different version of sam bradford. His inconsistencies have been a key story line so far. In those three games bradford has put together just two solid halves of football. Second half against falcons and first half on sunday verse the jets. You know, it is really frustrating. That is our goal every week is to come out and play four quarters, to our ability, but i just feel like we have not done that yet. We have shown that we have been capable of it the but we have not been able to put together four quarters. Reporter question is what is holding this offense back from returning the to the form of the last two seasons. A combination of everything, you know, we have had some drops but there have have been times where guys are opened but we did not get the ball to him. Combination of both. Sam was off target a couple of times yesterday and we had a couple untimely drops by guys in the game that were playing extremely well. You just have to keep working and get everybody in sync and i think that will be the challenge. Reporter while running game found its footing against the jets bradford will need to be much better starting sunday against washington. He said they are close. I dont think it is a long way off. It is not just joaquin we have another round of rain coming in on friday and then we have to watch joaquin for second half of the weekend. A lot is happening. Hopefully these models can nail it down over next couple days but outside we are catching a break. We saw a few peaks of sunshine today as that cold front made its way through but cant rule out a shower or two, through the evening hours as that front makes its way off shore. That front, that will be a problem over the next 48 hours, hangs up off shore and another wave of low pressure traps around it bringing another round of some rain. Lets check with our weather watchers to see is what happening as far as temperatures go. Warm up today. We made it close to 80 degrees. But that front is moving on through so we are starting to see those temperatures fall back a bit and falllike conditions, certainly return for next few days. Down in dover delaware andy checks in at 70. Phil chapline at 72. Mild inner clementon, new jersey. David dutch checking in the at 74 degrees. Down in south jersey, buena vista margot is milder at 77 degrees. You get the picture looking at lower 07s in middletown delaware a as well. That is the trend. Lets go to storm scan three and talk about what is happening. That front is now making its way off shore, still a couple of spotty showers possible over the the Delaware Valley for the the next few hours. Mess of the heavy rain stays off the coast. The another round of low pressure rides along that front bringing in wave of rain that will track northward certainly later thursday into friday. And so were talking about a complicated set up. Heres is what happening. So much going on in the at the months fear. We have a trough over southeastern part of the you had, upper level low pressure. Cold front over us. Then we have joaquin. These models are having a hard time fixing everything out. Joaquin looks great on the satellite imagery, with the intensifying hurricane that will eventually head northward but when will that happen . That is the question . Two tracks remain in play. First one would take it closer to the east coast, midatlantic, particularly North Carolina, that is this trough right here. Come down, capture the storm and brings it back and slings it to the east coast f this trough just hangs back, joaquin sits there and goes back out to sea, that is best case scenario. Nonetheless whatever happens were just stuck in this plume of tropical moisture. Even if joaquin sits off shore we will still get rain in here later in the week into the weekend. The if joaquin is close by we will see heavier rain chance. The wind 85 miles an hour and center of the storm gust to continuing to 105. Movement southwest toward bohamas. The official National Hurricane center forecast track has that trough, picking it up, bringing it north to the left now and into North Carolina potentially later in the weekend sunday into monday. This would bring rain to our region but heavier rain just south and west. Heres the setup . How much rain are we talking about through saturday morning . This is from the cold front. Maybe close to 2 inches, in philadelphia further south we are in the heavier rain amounts. Lets add potential impact from his joaquin. Now were talking about close to 4 inches of rain on one model for philadelphia and higher amounts to the south. Sharp cut off going on there wind will be gusty as this front moves through. Wind could gust to near 40 miles an hour or even 50 near the the coastline, friday and certainly friday night into saturday. Forecast for tonight stray shower early, cooler, 58 degrees. For tomorrow, mostly cloudy, rain arrives late. Heres that extended forecast, cool day friday, windy, 58, shower chances continue into monday, and due to joaquin with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Back over to you guys.
