"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now in olney with the latest information on this. justin, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning, police say this bar argument may have quickly turned physical and then into a double shooting, right now, police tell us, they did bring one man here, to northwest detectives, meantime, another man's life hangs in the balance, and the woman is recovering now, from four gunshot wounds. want to take you now to video from overnight. just before 12:30 a.m., in the area of fifth and olney, police say they got several 911 calls of a shooting in that area. authorities arrived quickly here, we are told, and found man and woman shot. both were taken to einstein medical center, that woman, taken by police, the man, taken by medics, and straight into surgery. meantime, police circling the scene later saw a man running. they tried to stop him, we're told, but he kept going, until police caught up to him on 500 block of elkins avenue. that is where they saw him toss a gun, and try to hide. it didn't work. he was found, and taken into custody. now, it is initially unclear what role he played if any in that shooting, but he is in custody. at this hour, police tell us, the male victim, age 22, was shot once in his chest, a woman, age 24, was found shot twice in her stomach. and twice in her leg. and this all began, police believe, inside that bar as an argument, and continues. take a listen. >> there was a fight, physical fight, a fight spilled outside, and the fight then turned physical outside, and then someone pulled a gun, possibly two guns were involved. and when the shots rang out, and then we two shooting victims. >> and police are hoping that man they brought here to northwest detectives may help them fill in the gaps of the story. he is believed to be about 25 years old, police say, he had no id on him, and he was being initially uncooperative. mr. is are hoping they have video evidence of this crime. they say there are cameras inside and outside the bar, crime cameras nearby, and several home and business cameras in that area, too. and we are live from northwest detective, justin finch, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". justin, thank you. meanwhile, philadelphia police are trying to determine why attacks i struck and killed two people in center city, amanda, of phoenixville, brian body of baltimore, were crossing broad street near arch early yesterday morning, when that cab hit them. both were 25. detective are trying to find out just how fast that taxi was going. she worked at the ymca. >> just so charismatic and young and vibrant and very mature for her age. >> the cab driver stopped at the scene, then went to the hospital after suffering chest pains. no charges have been filed. >> 5:05 right now, and the countdown is on for the launch of the late show with stephen colbert. debuts tonight. finally it is here 11:35 on cbs-3, jan carabeo joins us, she took a trip up to new york, is outside the edel sullivan theater. and this had undergone a huge overhaul since letterman left. good morning, jan. >> reporter: good morning, very exciting day on tap for stephen colbert. he has a new gig and new place here at the ed sullivan theater, and the front page of the new york daily news says it all. tonight is the night. of course he is taking over as the host of the late show here at the historic theater. as you mentioned, it was completely overhauled for tonight's debut. it will look exactly as it did in the 1920's. so let's take a look inside before all of the excitement, little later on today. colbert actually started off as an actor. here he is now on broadway. the ed sullivan theater is in the mat hand at theater district of after david letterman's de power tour, the theater gutted, new set, new seats, new carpeting, new sound system, were all installed, with that said, the theater will look just as it did when it first opened in 1927. >> we restored it back to its 1927 theater. it is beautiful. >> i love that. >> stained gloss, gothic architecture, it is just a beautiful, like happy spot to be on that stage. >> and back side of the new york daily news says who will join him on that stage tonight, it will be george clooney, and gop presidential candidate, jeb bush, so a loft excitement here. we're told the show could run a little meanwhile, firefighters battling forest firing bullying in burlington county, new jersey, say it is about 50% contained this morning. chopper three over the scene in woodland township yesterday. this is in the area of wood mans i rode north of route 72. that fire burned over the county line into ocean county. fortunately, there are no homes or structures in any danger. back to school for thousands of student today, and in washington. it is back it work for congress. they are returning from their summer break this morning. among the issues face being them, the federal budget. congress needs to pass funding for the end of the month or the government could shutdown. also, a vote on the iran nuclear deal is expected soon and so is a visit from pope francis. >> ntsb holding a meeting tomorrow. the gulfstream business jet crashed after it overran the end of runway in massachusetts may 31 last year. preliminary ntsb report is suggested the crew of the private jet did not perform a flight control check before attempting take off. new this morning, a four year old boy and his dog are rescued from a well near jackson, mississippi. that boy was trapped for several hours nearly 25 feet down in that well. the hole was only about a foot and a half wide. authorities say the boy was alert and talking with the rescue team the entire time he was stuck. >> we had all of the volunteer fire departments here in lincoln county, sheriff's office, brookhaven fire department. i just can't say enough about what everybody did to get this little boy out that far well safe. >> crews sent water down to the boy to help keep him hydrated. his dog was rescued short time later. >> still ahead this morning, police in one colorado town, they are on high alert after caller makes a threat against police to a 911 dispatcher. hear the call that got authority so concerned. also, ahead, an aid work here traveled to nepal to help after catostrophic earthquake is murdered. now investigators are looking into whether she met her killer through a website. >> and, an investigation into the startling video is under way. what a texas school district is saying about the two players who targeted and block. back to you. >> michigan woman who went to asia to help in the aftermath of an earthquake was beaten to death by a man she met on line. police say that dall ya met brutal end when volunteering to help victims of nepal's catostrophic earthquake in april. investigators in nepal are searching the mountains for her body now. police say was beaten to death by man she net on a website that connect travelers to host. investigators have made an arrest. >> four mexican prison officials have been charged in connection with the escape of drug lord guzman, two of those charged are members of the intelligence service who worked at that prison and two were prison employees in the control room. guzman escaped through underground tunnel back in july. all four stands accused every helping
