Eyewitness News Reporter jan carabeo over at Police Headquarters right now to tell you more about it. Jan . Reporter ukee, right now police have very few leads but they are going through the evidence that they do have, at the same time there is morning, they are trying to identify the victim who they say was shot at at least 18 times. Shot at point blank range. Police are is her clinic for a killer tuesday morning, after finding a mans bullet riddled body on a West Philadelphia street. We found 18 spent shell casings. Those shell casings were all several feet and many of them, most of them, were just inches from the victims bod. I 19th District Police on patrol near connestoga and thompson streets heard the gunshot just after 11 30 last night. When they arrived on the 1300 block of connestoga, they found a man shot in his chest stomach, and both legs and arms. At this time, the victim is a john doe. We have no identification on him. We do not know who he is. He appears to be a male in his mid 20s. And at this point investigators dont have a motive. Witnesses or description of the suspect. But investigators did find those spent shell casings on the scene and near the body, they also found an s. U. V. That smelled of marijuana with a gun visible on the front passenger side floor. At this time were hold that buick at the crime scene. That will buick will be told to our police garage. Were not certain if that is the weapon used to commit this homicide. How much, the weapon was found in the vehicle just several feet from where the victim was shot and pronounced dead on the scene.
