Back on Eyewitness News this is just a nasty wreck on the new york interstate. Take a look here nearly 40 vehicles chug tractor trailers were involve during a snowstorm in what the are town. The Authorities Say near white out conditions played a role in that crash. School buses were brought into remove strandedded drivers and passengers. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt. That is not a good scene there, carol but were looking better back at home. Yes. Just one of the many reasons that winter is not my favorite season. We are looking at a day that looks like it will be a little milder. We will get above freezing mark which will feel great and youll see some sun, some clouds but probably more in the way of varying levels of clouds today. It doesnt look bad right now. Ben franklin bridge looking lovely. We have temperatures cold below freezing mark in every single location this morning but they wont be staying there we should be finding these temperatures getting in the 40s which will look practically tropical. Twentysix in philadelphia. Twentythree in trenton. Twentyfour in wilmington. Nineteen in the poconos. We have 21 degrees in wildwood. Not that much in the way of the whipped chill. It knocks temperatures down a couple degrees but that is essentially it. It is because it is the weekend and last monday with groundhog day it seems like every weekend should be groundhog day because we are waiting for weather system to come in here for the second half of the weekend. Now this one as it stand right now obviously subject to change early monday morning some rain showers we should be arriving around here and then on monday some rain, freezing rain and some sleet possible. And by men it could end as cold air comes in here as a brief bit of snow. Depending where you are and how far to the north you will than seeing more or less of the wintry weather conditions. More, of course, to the north with these temperatures colder. But a front just kind of stalls here. One of the reasons where it is warm and it will be in the 40s and close to 50 degrees tomorrow. The just because the front is still, north of us and the warmer air from the southwest is coming in here but then low pressure starts to ride along that front and as it does so we will see light rain with that mix to the north and maybe some snow even to the north of that. Our future weather, thinks the name computer we are all into these computer models now. We might as well all get familiar with them. This one says we will see rain well to the west even by 7 00 oclock in the morning on monday with some of the icing concerns through the poconos at that point. By the time 4 00 oclock on monday, again, p. M. Hits, there could be snow through the the poconos and then this thing get out of here by tuesday. So the snow amounts will be unimpressive in our area if we see any and this computer model says an inch. Do we see an inch maybe. Maybe slightly more to the north. Then in the poconos where that winter storm watch goes into effect sunday evening and through monday night, maybe four to 6 inches of snow and sleet. Again, that is in the poconos. Look at the computer models for our snowfall amounts for this one, for the philadelphia area. Nothing. Euro. 7 inches. 7 of an inch. Not even an inch of snow and r p. M. Says maybe a, tenth of an inch of snow. Icing might be another issue. Just watch for that throughout the Early Morning hours on monday. Here, and areas to the north. So that is going to be something we will continue to monitor. This is another computer model. This is rpm that says everything is fine here this weekend and then we will bring in chances on monday of maybe a little bit of that icing and some of that snow to the north. So just something to continue to monitor. This storm has not the yet decided what it will do yet so it is a little too early to call it but it looks like it will be mild enough that most of the time it is rain around here. Fortyfour today. Not all that bad. Tonight, 32 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow most of the day should be fine. 48 degrees. We have somalia rain showers coming late at night. On monday watch for rain and maybe freezing rain and maybe end up with some snow on monday and then it is just around 40 degrees for a couple of days after that. Nicole. Carol thank you.
