Mayor jim kenney and others are stuck in boston after overnight flight was diverted. Eyewitness News Reporter jan carabao is live at Philadelphia International airport with more on what went wrong here, jan. Reporter good morning. A lot of disappointed passengers this morning, a spokesperson with icelandair tells us it was technical problems that grounded this flight last night. They tell us flight attendants and passengers alike started to smell rubber in the back of the plane, and so in an over abundance of caution after pilots checked it out they decide todd land in boston. This is actually flight aware, patch of icelandair flight, 828 inaugural from Philadelphia Airport to ice land was well on its way until these technical problems caused the plane to u turn to boston. Spokesperson says it was a full flight and student Safety Experts give that plane the all clear they will get these passengers back on their way to ice land.
