Mayor jim kenney and others are stuck in boston after overnight flight was diverted. Eyewitness News Reporter jan carabao is live at Philadelphia International airport with more on what went wrong here, jan. Reporter good morning. A lot of disappointed passengers this morning, a spokesperson with icelandair tells us it was technical problems that grounded this flight last night. They tell us flight attendants and passengers alike started to smell rubber in the back of the plane, and so in an over abundance of caution after pilots checked it out they decide todd land in boston. This is actually flight aware, patch of icelandair flight, 828 inaugural from Philadelphia Airport to ice land was well on its way until these technical problems caused the plane to u turn to boston. Eyewitness told police that he saw the suspect driving erratically in the fairmount area around 7 30 last night, when witness approached him suspect pulled out a knife and took police 45 minutes to get the man out of his garage, they arrested him and brought him to the hospital to be tested for possible intoxication.
