at 53 degrees, but dew points, they are on the rise, with more humid conditions, settling in, as we head throughout our day today. and storm scan3, showing us, we did have some thunderstorm activity along the coast over the last couple of hours, and still, few showers working themselves up toward atlantic city, otherwise, in and around philadelphia, and up toward the lehigh valley, dry conditions, getting you out the door, most every us will be dry, but pack along the umbrella. it will be muggy start to our day, 6:00 near 70 degrees, climbing into the low 70s, as we head into the 8:00 hour. we do have chance at seeing some stronger storms, today, storm prediction center has much of the delaware valley in a slight risk of severe weather, and that's mainly as we head into the afternoon and evening hours. we will talk more about what to expect on the timing of these storms, and of course, meisha, the all-important fourth of july forecast, and i'll have it for you coming up in just a few. >> that's what everyone wants to know, thank you. looking outside right now, we do have activity where we have the first accident of the morning, schuylkill eastbound approaching the conshohocken curve. it is pulled all the way off to the shoulder, not going to slow you down too much right now, just see a lot of flashing lights out there. good indicator that we're going to have a lot of vehicles on the roadway primarily because the fourth of july, maybe give yourself couple of extra minute, other than that schuylkill looking pretty good this morning, we have construction here, 202 southbound between 401 and route 30, sounds like it might be kind of clearing out of the way. the vine all open both moving in the westbound and eastbound side. great news for those every how take the vine, i actually had problem getting ton broad from the vine, looks like that's all clear. construction, 42 freeway southbound, let me back out of the way, see it in the far, yes, far back here in your screen, 42 freeway southbound, between 295 and route 55, and between route 30 and 295. that right lane in both of those spots is going to be compromised until around 5:00 a.m. ill of course let going on strike in about an hour. >> after the union was unable to reach a deal with the casino. now, the strike means, gambling comes to halt for the holiday weekend. local 54 of the united union was able to reach new contract with tropicana, bally's, ceasar's, harrah's on thursday, but not trump taj mahal. almost a thousand workers are involved including cooks, housekeepers, bell men, servers, strike begins at 6:00 this morning, though the resort has donald trump's name it is actually owned by financier carl icahn. >> this morning, new jersey governor chris christie is ordering transportation project of the state be shutdown after the state senate decided to hold off on voting on plan yesterday to increase the gas tax by 23 sent. the money from that would have gone toward those project. it is not clear when the senate will vote on the proposal. christie also signed the state's $34.5 billion spending plan, late last night, just hours before the deadline. >> new this morning, four people are in custody and three people are in hospitals after a fight at paris carnival in lower bucks county. police shut down the carnival after three people were stabbed during the fight. it happened outside the carnival at saint michael the arc ainge nel tullytown. people say they were terrified . >> i saw 30, 40 people run to the front of the fair. cops started saying everybody get out of the fare. everybody get out the fair. >> so far no word on the extent of injuries, police say their investigation is not over. >> just into the news room this morning, traffic is moving normally around city hall right now after tractor-trailer, got stuck on the southeast corner of the building. now, the truck crashed into a traffic barrier there, yesterday evening, around 10:00. it also knocked over a light pole. no one was hurt, crews had to bring in a special tow truck. this morning, the philadelphia district attorney's office is investigating after police say a breathalyzer was apparently expired, using expired solution, since january of this year. now, the issue may affect a thousand dui cases. philadelphia police discovered the issue wednesday, after a lawyer brought it to their attention. they took all of the breathalyzers out of service, replaced the solution, and then replaced them into service. the department says the problem was the result of human error, but did not have an effect on breathalyzer readings. the d.a.'s office is now reviewing dui cases from january 17th, through june 29th. the lawyer who raised the issue says he estimates between 500 a thousand cases could be affected. >> this morning, two teenagers are facing charges because a 13 year old boy was shot and killed. "eyewitness news" reporter natasha brown talked to the victim's family and tells us about the charges the teens are facing. >> he is gone. my brother ain't never coming back. and it hurt so bad. >> a grieving sister coming to grips with the irreplaceable loss of her 13 year old brother. >> it is not okay. because he ain't never coming back. >> she is wearing a rest in peace shirt bearing her 13 year old brother christopher mackee's picture, mackee found with gunshot taught face wednesday evening behind a house in germantown, few houses away from his family home. he later died at the hospital. police say he was with a group of friends playing with a gun when neighbors heard the gunshots. now, a 15 year old boy has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly firing the gun. a 17 year old boy is charged with recklessly endangering another person for allegedly loading and handling the weapon. >> community activists have taken out the charge of begging community members to keep guns off the streets and out of the hands of children. >> most of these children, their parent won't even let them leave the block. so he was actually a block child. this gun was found on the block. >> i got so many memories. >> he tearfully remembers his classmate and friend, set to enter the eighth grade together in the fall. >> he was a funny, silly person. he was smart, too. >> how are you feeling right now? >> heart broken. >> the aunt of the four year old girl who accidentally shot and killed herself last week in north philadelphia came to this vigil to offer condolances, from one grieving family to another, both intertwined by a gun tragedy. >> family right now is grieving beyond what i ever could imagine. >> cease-fire philadelphia is vowing to continue to go into these communities, making sure that community members are keeping guns away from children and making sure stolen guns and guns stay off the street. meantime the 15 year old being charged with involuntary manslaughter in this case, 17 year old charged with recklessly endangering another person. >> tonight, friends and family will remember a four year old who accidentally shot and killed herself last week in north philadelphia. a vigil for her will be held at 6:00 outside her home on the 1800 block of north 20th street. that's where the four year old died on june 23rd. her mother facing charges in connection to the case. she will be laid to rest following a viewing and funeral service. >> parent are on alert in one bucks county neighborhood after a reported attempted child luring. steven johnston says he took his young children for a walk along edgley road in levittown wednesday night and saw a red pick-up truck pass by twice. johnston says when the four year old child fell a few feet behind, to pick up sticks, the truck came back around. he tells us the driver yelled something about a puppy, to his son. >> and then i ran toward him with my one year old in the stroller, as i did that, pick up sped off, got to edgley, made a right, without even stopping. i think the intent was thereto try and do something. >> police are looking for an older model redford ford pick-up truck with peeling paint, and white stripes along the doors. they describe the driver with white man, dark hair, in his 40's. >> still ahead, we'll tell you why center city traffic will is going to be on the steamy side. and as we head through our day today, we will see dry conditions for most of us, for the first half of the day, then scattered thunderstorms developing into the afternoon, and evening hours, warm high temperature at 87 degrees. and then tonight thunderstorms through the evening hour, after midnight conditions starting to quiet down, the skies will clear on out, and humidity will slowly drop off. a low temperature at 67 degrees. storm scan3 showing us rumbles every thunder waking people up down the shore, over the last couple of hours, activity quieting down, still, few lingering showers, but we do have this warmfront off to the south. that's going to lift north, through the delaware valley, as we head into the afternoon hours, and help to spark off some scattered showers and thunderstorms, so for the first half of our day today, a shower chance kind of isolated storm chance mainly south and west or east of the city, as we head into the morning hours, and then, afternoon, we get the daytime heating, the warmfront makes its way through, so see scattered storms popping up. as we head into the 3:00 hour, some storms around, and then continuing throughout the day, storms scat nerd nature, so do you have keep eye to the sky. but looking forward to the fourth of july holiday, sunny start to the day, mix of sun and clouds, 86 degrees the high flaws in the justice system n2000, convicted of murdering hess exgirlfriends in baltimore. his defense argued prosecutors incorrectly relied on cellar data to determine his location at the time of the murder. the judge ruled attorneys should have cross-examined an expert about the reliability of that data. his lawyer praised the judge's decision. >> one of the first things we're going to be looking day weekends, but we have to get through today first. we will be dealing with some scattered storms developing as we head mainly into the afternoon and evening hours. but, for right now, all quiet across the area being temperatures mild, especially along the i95 corridor, 71 degrees right now in philadelphia, 70 in wilmington, cooler to the north and west, got some 60s, 61 degrees in allentown, did have some thunderstorm activity, isolated in nature down the shore over the last couple of hours, now just few lingering sprinkles just south of atlantic city, otherwise clouds starting to increase in some of the western counties, we will have mix every sunday and clouds today, and that humidity will be ramped up, storms start to fire especially during the afternoon and evening hours, and few could be on the strong potentially even severe side as we do head into the evening hours, so keep eye to the sky, of course, pa that umbrella along, main threat will be some strong, gusty winds, could see some hail, heavy rainfall, as well. bull, conditions luckily for lust clear out as we head into the kick off of our holiday weekends, i'll have all of the details on the all-important holiday weekend forecast coming in a couple of minutes. >> good morning, everyone, happy friday to you. take a look outside, what we are looking at 95 south at girard, plenty of vehicles out there right now, you can see, not even into the 5:00 hour. already this many vehicles on the roadway, good indicator that this friday particularly because of the holiday weekend is going to get pretty busy. blue route, taillights moving in the northbound direction, approaching the schuylkill, see what you are looking at both in the northbound and southbound side. again, a lot of vehicles out there. specially for this stretch on the blue route for not even being in the 5:00. construction here, route 896 northbound between glasco high school and old baltimore pike, right lane blocked, block until 5:30, in new jersey, another point of construction route 322 both directions between route 130 and 295, you are going have lane shift, and this will be going on until 6:00 a.m. ill of course let you know when it all cleans, more construction here pa turnpike eastbound between valley forge and ft. washington that right lane blocked in that area. and also, another place, the pa turnpike, pa turnpike northeast ex it end sean both directions between lansdale and mid-county, right and left lanes, and the lansdale off ramp is closed so a lot of construction going on here, did have accident earlier as well, that's already cleared. but because it is the holiday weekends, because so many travelers on the roadway i can guarantee today will be fairly busy morning. overall things looking pretty good. i was looking at the ben franklin bridge, just little bit ago, looking okay, as well. route 130 gateway boulevard at highland avenue lanes blocked, with downed pole, so, for those every you in and around this area make note that you want to keep it safe out there. i would say that right now, volume levels around that area aren't thereto sustain any sort of backups whatsoever, not even gaper delay, but if you are in this area, and if that doesn't get moved out of the way it will cause some problems in the 5:00 hour for us. back to you. >> local musicians joining in the fight
