live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia this is cbs3 "eyewitness news". afternoon of spring like temperatures were interrupted by showers this evening. storm scan3 shows what's left of the system that rained on us but it's just the beginning of a drastic temperature drop. usa! and trump rallies from coast to coast. what began as pro trump movement across the country turned into a battle in some cities as political ideas clashed. good evening, i'm natasha brown. thank you so much for joining us. we hope you were able to at least get out and enjoy the beautiful weather we had this afternoon before it rained in some areas that's in the all. meteorologist lauren casey tells us we're in for a drastic temperature drop tomorrow as well. lots of surprises this week. right, lauren. >> so many surprises. so many clothing accessories you need. we need the umbrella today. need the t shirts now we need the jackets. all over the place. but it is spring. season of transition high temperatures today at 77 degrees in philadelphia. 68 in allentown. got to 79 in wilmington. 80 degrees on march day in millville. we topped at 81 degrees in atlantic city. and that was a record warm high temperature beating the previous record of 79 set back in 1963 but check this out. after 81 degrees just earlier today, we're now at 46 degrees in ac. we're down to 45 in philadelphia. had a cold front drop through the they are brought us that shower activity which is kind of diminish right now still have the cloud cover in place and still have that frontal boundary lingering and it will return as we head into our sunday but our sunday is going to be a much different day with below average temperatures and east wind kicked in off the atlantic we'll get cold temperatures that will prevail throughout our sunday. cloudy and dreary conditions fog lingering around and periods of light rain and drizzle so altogether a quiet dreary end to our weekend. temperatures though are on their way back up. more 60s. 70s and several more rain chances to talk about. i'll have all the roller coaster fun coming up in just a few minutes. >> lauren, see you soon. thank you. supporters of president trump held make america great again rallies across the country including one in philadelphia. thing got a bit out of hand when op opponents of the president showed up. alicia is live in the sat center to show us the clash between both sides. alicia. >> philadelphia police found themselves in the middle of hundreds of trump supporters hundreds of anti trump protesters for hours authorities tried to keep the piece until they finally couldn' couldn't a. around the country unity amongst trump supporters. >> trump was elected and that's what we need to stand by. >> thousands showed up nationwide to several scheduled make america great again ralli rallies. >> there's been so much anti trump negativity going on so many rallies and protests. protesting everything i can't even keep track of any more. that i think people felt it was our turn. >> reporter: this pro trump rally in philadelphia started around 11:00 this morning. >> three months in the making now. trying to do this. >> reporter: quickly taken over. >> hundreds of anti trump protesters chanting over pro trump rallyers. the clash turning chaotic at one point. when protesters set off cans of smoke. police in philadelphia ending the rally early but only issuing two citations for disorderly conduct. the clash here though far more peaceful than the clash between trump supporters and anti trump protesters in california. the clash there ending in an all out brawl. >> organizers with the make america great again rally here in philadelphia told "eyewitness news" they did consider canceling the event concerned it would turn into the chaos it became. reporting live in the sat center alicia nieves cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> the trump administration is vowing to repeal and replace the affordable care act and this morning president trump tweet the quote obama care had explode and we will all get together and piece together a great melt health care plan for the people. to not worry. vice-president pence addressed small business leaders in west virginia. he told them the fight to repeal the nation's hell care law is not over. >> victory wasn't a victory for the american people. it was a victory for the status quo in washington, d.c. and a victory for the disaster of obama care. i promise you that victory won't last very long. [ applause ] >> the trump administration says it will now focus its attention on tax reform. woman in several children escape a fast-moving fire in tom river, new jersey. flames ripped through the two-story home on the 1700 block of kathleen court friday afternoon. police say the woman called 911 to report the fire started on the lower level. she said the flames were quickly heading upstairs to the second floor. everyone did manage to get safely the cause of the fire is still under investigation a car ran over a pedestrian in drexel hill, delaware county this morning. "eyewitness news" at state road and harper avenue about 8:00 o'clock. a sneaker, water bottle, fit bit, some of the items that were scattered about there. no word on the victim's condition. police are still questioning the driver in this case as to what happened with this accident. and children and members of the philadelphia fire department spent the day helping to complete a mural. it honors fallen firefighters joyce craig and james heinz. "eyewitness news" in at a ken into today. 2014 craig was the first female philadelphia firefighter to die in the line of duty. heinz died in the line of duty along with terry, in 1997. heinz grew up in the lawn crest neighborhood where craig was last assign. one person is in police custody following deadly shooting on las vegas strip this afternoon. according to the las vegas metropolitan police department, one person died after a man in his 50s began shootlying at passengers on bus traveling along the strip. the suspect then brrr cadeed himself inside the bus as it came to stop in front of paris oh hotel and casino traffic up and down the busy boulevard came to a screeching halt for hours. and the man eventually surrend surrendered to police. also las vegas police investigate a jewelry store robbery inside the billagio hotel casino complex that sent frighten guests fleeing. at least five to seven masked suspects smashed glass windows, with sledge hammers in this cell phone video you can see officers swarming the area as tourists tried to steer clear. it's home to high end jewelry and watch stores. it's been three months since the world said goodbye to debbie reynolds and daughter to draw. and as you can see, he's pretty good at it. which is amazing when you consider this. >> peter was diagnosed at one weeks old in inn dough need ya by the age of two weeks old we have to remove one of his eyes his left eye and by the age of three weeks he has to be begin this journey with chemotherapy. >> we fight hard for this life and his site. >> to save his life peter and his mom irma took 27 hour flight from indonesia to philadelphia so his cancer could be treated at wills eye institute and children's hospital. during his treatments peter and his mom stay at the ronald mcdonald house of southern new jersey. >> the hospital trips were tiring for him. they poke him around and sometimes traumatic but when he come home and when he plays with all the children he for gets about it. he just for gets and he just loves spending time in the play room. >> i like play here and so many things to do here. >> for irma the house is a safe haven from the hospital. a place of comfort. >> us how how are you? how is it going with the treatment? and other families who's giving us a hug when there's good nouse or giving us a hug if we need, you know, have a place to cry. it's a house filled with love. >> the love of family. >> we know that although we are 27 hours away from home, we are at home. peter wanted to show show us his special friend who is just like him. >> i'm peter and i have elepha elephant. the elephant can take out his eye. this a special eye like me. >> he say mom look at the train is red. the taxi is yellow. the sky is blue and he cannot stop drawing. he cannot stop taking picture with the camera. that's simple things in life that you may think that is taken for granted. for him it's like his joy. >> on the day that we met peter he and his mother learned saving her sister and her niece after her sister had a seizure while she was driving. here's what happened. jada bell was in the car with her big sister and her niece on highway 105 when her sister kendall williams had a seizure in the driver's seat. jade did didn't this twice. she called 911 explaining to the dispatcher what was happening while she work to stop the car. she managed to throw the car into neutral and pull her two-year-old niece from the back seat. >> 911. what'sed address of her your emergency. >> my sister i don't know what happened. she just had seizure. >> i was terrified. i was like confused. i didn't know what was happeni happening. >> big sister now calls little sister a hero. kendall big sister says she's doing much better after her visit to the doctor. her little
