Sources say friday afternoon the two ended up at love park and when the ranger asked the group of skaters to leave, thats when the situation escalated. He was hit by a driver in a bizarre accident. That driver took off with the boy in tow shocking eyewitnesses on the street. Hit by driver while crossing the street on his bike. Witnesses say the nine year old little boy they called julio was struck by a man driving this pick up and talking on his cell phone just after 5 30 monday on elkhart street. Didnt see him breathing at first. I looked and i seen this stomach movie. The dude pick him up. Didnt say nothing. Shoved him in the car and took off. I was shock but i was like thinking maybe hes just like he wants to get him help right aw away. Eyewitnesses saw a man stop the truck and kneel over the boy bleeding on the ground. The metal bar of the truck smacked the boy in the face and ripped his whole head open. Thats when the driver put the boy in the back seat of his pick up and drove away. Police say he stopped when he saw police car and explained what happened. Police then transported the nine your old to saint christophers hospital. Where family friend spoke to julio mosses mom a short time later. There were hearing that is his head and he was getting those stitched up. Julio was in stable conditi condition. And they expect a full recovery. And that is the good news. The driver did return to the hospital to answer Police Questions police say it is possible charges may still be filed.
