Superintendent william hite said repeatedly that if the district didnt get that money layoff notice boss go out august 15th and school might not open on time. Tonight mayor nutter says harrisburg is failing philadelphia children. It is an absolute disgrace what is going on here, and no other School District in the commonwealth of pennsylvania, no other set of parents, no other counties, no other School District would ever be subjected to this kind of nonsense and irresponsibility as were now experiencing today based on the announcement that was made. Lawmakers said asked governor corbett to advance the district money to help close that deficit. In abington diana rocco cbs3 Eyewitness News. Well Massachusetts Woman survived to tell an incredible story after an ax crashed through the windshield of her today. It happened along i95. Police say an elderly couple was behind a landscapers truck and that landscaper had just left a job site without securing the hatchet. Well the tool flew out smashed through the couples windshield and buried itself in the dash bore right in front of that woman. Right at eye level with this woman. If it had penetrated through further and hit her she would have been injured or killed. Incredible. Shaken but unhurt the couple pulled over safely of the truck driver stepped, too. He admitted his mistake he received a 200 for not securing that hatchet. Theres a big bank hold um in hollywood tonight. But here are all the high clouds that will be streaming in. For tomorrow morning youll have sunshine through high clouds and then finally the clouds will take over. Usually the average high in august we see temperatures in the mid 80s. That wont be the case as we start the in tomorrow average high on the first is 87. By the 31st 83. We will be below average to begin the month. Temperatures right now holding on to the 70s along the i95 corridor into the south and east. But north and west cooler temperatures in allentown, 67. The pock nose 61. But ocean water temperatures warming up right now at 71. Some cooler air to the west. We will see some of those numbers low temperatures will be in the 60s overnight tonight. So during the day on friday well watch this front approach from the west. This warm front being push back toward the shore. Its going to squeeze all that moisture up the eastern seaboard and provide us with a few afternoon scattered showers. Temperatures will be in the 80s. The real squeeze play gets under way on saturday with more numerous showers. Temperatures in the 70s. The same goes for sunday. The system begins to pull away but it wont be completely out of here till about tuesday. As far as the rainfall amounts through tomorrow evening and extending through saturday evening, you can see the totals. Really varying a couple of our models say not that much rain. A few of them the american model and european models still say about an inch of rain or so. As we look at our future amounts you can see along theism november corridor by saturday morning were saying about an inch of rain and by sunday pretty much the same. But the higher amounts to the south and east of philadelphia. This appears to be where the bulls eye is down the shore and heading toward the delaware beaches with lesser accumulations as you move to the north and west well continue to fine tune this forecast during the nighttime hours and of course during the day tomorrow.
