"e.t." has learned linkin park front man, chester bennington, has died of an apparent suicide. ♪ >> now he performed at chris cornell's funeral last may, and today would have been chris' 53rd birthday. he hanged himself at his l.a. home, and he was struggling with drug and alcohol addictions throughout his life. he was married and is survived by six children. ♪ i can't escape the gra vity he had a string of hits over the careers, and their debut album sold more than 10 million copies. chester bennington was 41 years old. so tragic. all right, well now ben affleck and the latest with his new lady love. they are together in new york city, and check out ben. he returned to the place where the sparks first began to fly. ben was playful with paparazzi as he and lindsay shookus walked into the offices of 30 rock. "snl" is where they first met. he hosted five times when she was the producer. at 8:30 last night, ben and lindsay checked out of the hotel where they spent the last two days together. this is the same place ben and jennifer garner stayed in 2005 when jen was pregnant with their first child, daughter violet. he flew home to california, and lindsay was seen with her ex, kevin miller. only we have the photos of the amicable exes walking with their 4-year-old daughter before school. lindsay was seen laughing and half an hour later, the 37-year-old producer went for a ride. when it came to answering questions about ben, lindsay might be using the talk on the phone to avoid talking to the paparazzi trick. it's what most celebs use. >> do you want to dispel any of the rumors about you and ben and when you started?
