Instead of dealing with the economy of our country, republicans are up to some more of their i dont know how to even to describe it. Insults, lack of respect for women. Reporter gop lawmakers are outraged over this summers release of secretly recorded videos showing planned parenthood executives discussing the use of aborted fetus in medical research. House republicans want to end all government funding for planned parenthood. There was widespread criticism of the organization at wednesdays gop president ial debate. We shouldnt be sending 500 million of taxpayer money to fund criminal. This is not the character of our nation and if we cannot stand up and force president obama to veto this bill, shame on us. Reporter house makers will try to push through a funding. Speaking in new hampshire, democratic president ial candidate Hillary Clinton says shutting down the government would put the economy and country in peril. Sugar down the country is something nobody else in the world really understands. You would volume tevoluntary do that to your country . Last night, at a town hall meeting in new hampshire, republican president ial frontrunner donald trump did nothing to correct a questioner who incorrectly stated president obama is musmuslim. The problem in this country, its called muslims. We know our current president is one. You know he is not even an american. When can we get rid we will be looking at a lot of Different Things and a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there. Today, attorneys for former Army Sergeant beau bergdahl present their evidence during a pretrial hearing. Bergdahl was taken into custody is charged with desertion. Reporter Defense Attorneys will begin building their case today to keep Army Sergeant beau bergdahl from facing a military trial. The 29yearold stands accused of desertion and for leaving his post in afghanistan in 2009, charges which carry a possible life sentence. Yesterday, bergdahl sat in court and sometimes silent and sometimes taking notes. Its a very low evidentiary threshold and certainly for that reason, should not be thought of as a trial. Reporter prosecutors called three witnesses to the stand, including bergdahls former platoon leader captain john billings. Billings described how thousands of soldiers risked their lives for 45 days to try to find bergdahl in a region known as ied alley. Under crossexamination, billings said he had no histry of bergdahls history. They plan to call their own witnesses to the stand today, including Major General kenneth doll who conducted the armys investigation into his disappearance. You may learn more about what Sergeant Bergdahl told general doll. Bergdahl who spent nearly five years in taliban captivity after he deserted has never explained why he left. Its unclear whether the attorneys will put him on the stand today. In a highly controversial swap last may, america exchanged five detainees in Guantanamo Bay in exchange for bergdahl. The last of the hikers killed by floodwaters in utah has been found. Rescuers found the body yesterday. The bodies of the other six hikers were found tuesday and wednesday. The flash flooding also killed at least 12 other people, including nine children. The death toll in the California Wildfires is rising. Two more bodies were found in the ruins. Burnt homes in lake county. That brings the death toll to five in two of the worst fires in the state. Cooler weather and rain yesterday helped firefighters gain some ground on the blazes that have destroyed more than 800 homes. It is time to get that flu shot.
