Those officers thought he had a gun in his pocket, but it was just a cell phone childress was the District Attorneys Office ruled the shooting as justified, and todays review was meant to address concerns from the public. But Childress Family told fox5 they have unanswered questions. Why . That just my only question. Why. It never had to go down like this. Why did this happen. There was no reason for it, absolutely no reason for it. Us marshals had tracked childress down that night and called metro for backup when marshals told metro that childress was wanted for attempted murder but that was wrong. Childress was facing charges from a Home Invasion in arizona. Soc childress death sparked a large public reaction including a protest on the strip. Jury selection took place today. In the trial of one of two men charged in the robbery of a student that turned deadly. Police say marcos arena was walking to school back in 2013. When two men in a car who tried to take his i pad but the 15year old wouldnt let go. He was run over by the men who then took off. The suspects were later identified as michael solid and jacob dismont. They pleaded not guilty to murder, robbery and conspiracy charges. The trial for michael solid continues tomorrow. A new School Year Begins one week from today and safety remains a concern for students who walk to school. Many of them other electronics.
