"bratalian" says it should know an exact re-opening date in within five days. a horse was killed... when it was hit by a truck in the northeast valley. metro says it happened around 9-30.... near nellis and owens. no other injuries were reported. we're still learning the circumstances of the crash. clark county says animal control is part of the investigation. a youth director arrested last week on charges of lewdness.... says the girls at the club where he worked - are always pushing the envelope with their clothing attire. that's according to an arrest report on willis brown... who faces three counts of lewdness involving girls under the age of 16. the report cites interviews with girls at the southern highlands "boys and girls club" who said brown often hugged them inappropriately - groped their legs and other body parts - and asked inappropriate questions about sexual behavior - boyfriends - and their virginity status. brown denied the allegations to police - but according to the report - used words like "promiscuous" and "provocative" to a problem with the telephone system at the veteran affairs hospital in north las vegas has been fixed. people trying to call the va southern nevada healthcare system had been getting a busy signal on monday. the v-a says the agency's phone service provider sent technicians to the hospital and the problem was resolved by the afternoon. a v-a spokesperson apologized on behalf of the va for any inconvenience the technical issues may have caused veterans. the hospital's phone system handles about 106-thousand calls each month. early th vegas said goodbye... to what was left of the old riviera hotel and casino.
