"southwest gas" has been called to the area to get the leak under control. the valley has a problem with people who steal packages off other people's doorsteps ... and tonight .. we spoke to one man fighting back. i'm john huck. i'm cyndi lundeberg, in for christine. some people call these thiefs "porch pirates" .. because neighborhood to neighborhood hunting for things to steal. it's a problem we've covered several times before. but now .. this man is looking to make a stink about it .. and teach one 'porch pirate' a lesson. fox5's miguel martinez-valle spoke to him.. and miguel .. he's not messing around. no he's not. he goes by the name .. victor the snakemannn. he's a local photojournalist, but not even the obvious security camera he has set up outside his front door has stopped people from stealing his packages.. thieves a pretty smelly lesson, in hopes they'd stay away from his house once and for all.. he even put the whole ordeal together in an edited video... music and all. victor the snakemann's no stranger to stolen packages... he's had 4 snatched from his current address... so he know's what to look out for... " and she came back, i knew my trap was set" when he saw this woman lurking arou h he was sure she was up to no good " i'm sitting here watching her and i'm thinking i could go out and scare the crap out of her but nahhh..." he caught her crime on his surveillance camera... " its a federal offense to steal mail off of a doorstep." and realized she knew what she was doing... " she had it planned because she had more bags in her bag" standup 3/1 " this wasnt the first time he's had a package stolen from his porch, he even has a sign telling deliverers not to leave this woman though, luckily for him he was ready to catch a thief... in the act" " she's looking right at the camera, boom, smile youre busted" and this woman was in for a surprise .. you see, snakemann figured he'd be hit again .. and left a special gift for the next thief. " i had a pile of dog poop in my backyard one day and i'm like i should just box this up and see if someone wants to steal it, so i guess she wanted my poop more than i did" looks like this package thief will learn a pretty stinky lesson about stealing.. pulls the box out all of the poop is going to go everywhere, see i was smart..." victor hasn't filed a police report but he has contacted the postal inspector in hopes of finding this package thief... .. .. stealing packages could get in big trouble since it is a federal offense. thousands of travelers are stranded at airports across the country after delta airlines suffers a power outage. it happened around 12-40 this afternoon at their main hub in atlanta georgia. the problem caused more than 870 flight cancellations and delays -- some lasting more than six hours. delta's c-e-o issued a video statement apologizing for the incident. they also said they have experts looking into what went wrong. passengers were upset about the wait -- but were also understanding.
