project neons carnado begun tonight at 10 p-m.... here is a map of the closures you need to know about.... if you're driving from southbound i-15 to northbound u.s. 95, you'll be detoured from lake mead to martin luther king and back to the 95. those traveling from northbound i-15 to northbound 95 will be detoured to the martin luther king exit ramp. you'll then re-enter northbound 95 and move along a temporary lane. those headed from northbound 95 to martin luther king need to leave themselves plenty of time. drivers will be routed to rancho drive, make a u-turn, re-enter and eventually make their way back to martin luther king. those headed from southbound i-15 to martin luther king will exit at lake mead boulevard and head west. the good news is most of the construction will take place at night and on weekends. " we will have 150 craftsmen boot son the ground during the peak of activty 350 all together engineers and project management staff " n-dot says 350 people will be working to get this project done including engineers and construction crews. 20 pieces of heavy machinery including a 50 ton crane. expect these delays for the next 120 days.... n- dot says carnado will wrap up in february of next year. if theres any good news... its that ndot says msot of the construction will take place at night and on weekends. reportinglive ndot says project neon is on schedule to finish on time... which will be in 2019. chief meteorologist ted pretty joins us with a first look at the forecast. toss to weather it's a mix of sun and fair weather clouds across southern nevada today. high temperatures are trending above average for this time of year with low 80s around the las vegas valley. skies remain partly cloudy overnight with low temperatures in the 60s. clouds will continue to increase on thursday as a system off the pacific approaches our area. we'll keep it dry on thursday high temperatures hold in the mid to low 80s. showers will move into the homeowners beware! a representative from the las vegas valley water district says they have recieved mutliple calls over the last few days about supposed employees knocking on doors and asking to be let inside... the big problem, they told fox5's miguel martinez valle their employees would never do that... miguel... they issued a warning? the warning is meant for families like the almache's who have had people come up to their homes and try to get inside saying they wanted to install a filter... they caught the whole thing on video... and the water district has some tips on how people can identify real employees... knock knock... who's there? video: " we're just regarding the chemicals in the tap water." it wasn't the las vegas valley water district... that's for sure... " my names deshaun with the nevada home water services mam" nevada home water services is a filter company, i spoke to one of their representatives and they confirmed... they have sales employees performing door-knocks all across the valley... " so he says well i need to come in and look under your sink right now, i said no, and he's like well you don't wanna drink the water do you.. using scare tactics" she knew they weren't with the water district, and didn't feel comfortable letting them inside ... " he had his fingers over his id when he pressed it forward, and it just didn't seem right..."
