Dave christine metro police tell us that dirt bike is illegal to be driving on the streets. Witnesses told investigators the dirt bike rider gunned a red light and actually ended up inside a car. The car was a rav4. The impact of the crash sent the female driver of that rav4 to umc with non life threatening injuries. The dirt bike rider who was wearing a helmet was pronounced dead at the scene. Metro police say they have a message for everyone on our roadways. Last year was a high year, we had 125 fatals. And that the suspect was living with them. A woman says the man who was killed is her ex husband. And that the couple were trying to help the suspect with a place to stay. He was always there to help anyone, in anything he could. And unfortunately hes paying the price today from helping somebody that needed help. Police say a found at the scene. But they cant confirm it was the weapon used. Police have arrested the man who shot two people in a parking garage at mccarran airport. This is 68yearold jeffrey brown. Hes charged with attemped murder. Discharging a firearm in a prohibited area. And assault with a deadly weapon. Police say the victims were browns estranged wife and her boyfriend. Police say security measures outside the airport helped track him down. Most importantly we want to stress that there has been no significant threat to this airport.
