"they said the woman went back in to get her dogs out and didn't. when the firemen came they said they couldn't get her, it was too late. its terrible, terrible ordeal. " witnesses also tell us neighbors rescued two dogs outside the home. investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire. the suspect arrested in a fatal shooting near the strip went before a judge today. omar talley's case was continued for a week, since his private attorney isn't in town. got in a fight with three people inside planet hollywood's parking lot, and he shot all three of them on the road. "melissa mendoza" and "jenniver chicas" were killed, and a man was injured. talley told police he doesn't remember any of this because he was drunk and high when it happened. there's no bail set for talley, and his next court appearance is march third. rancher ammon bundy... and 15 other defendants involved in the 41 day standoff at an oregon wild life refuge... plead not guilty to federal conspiracy charges. they went before the federal judge today... who reminded them-- they are innocent until proven guilty. the judge set an april 29 trial date. defense lawyers and their investigators plan to visit the refuge thursday. it will be their first look at the scene of the 41-day standoff. the judge denied bundy's request to tag along with his attorneys. health officials have declared a syphilis outbreak in las vegas. the southern district officials say they've seen a 128-percent increase of syphilis cases... since 2012. and... of the 694 reported cases... 615 involve men. this is the highest rates of syphilis in the west. local health officials we talk to say this urging people to get tested.
