He worked tirelessly for israel, from the very first day of the state to the last day of his life. Reporter peres born in poland, served alongside israel ace founding fathers. Military and nuclear program, a strong supporter of jewish settlements in the west bank, and later a dove. Peace with israels arab neighbors became his lifes mission. Let us take the risk of trying peace rather than allowing the risk of war. Reporter peres led secret talks with the palestinians, ending in the signing of the 1993 oslo Peace Agreement and this historic handshake between sworn enemies, all three awarded the nobel peace prize. Based on what we saw on the campaign trail yesterday, what does each campaign think worked for them monday night . Hillary Clintons Campaign thought almost everything works. They liked her performance. They thought donald trump gave them plenty to work with. I initially thought there wasnt an oops moment for him but there was, i think, in his attack on so they think their confidence is sky high and you saw in the clip in peters piece, shes as confident as ive seen her as a candidate. Donald trump is doing what a lot of candidates do. Not just donald trump. They lose a debate and they pretend they didnt lose and try to bully their way through it. But there are people around him who know that the message of washington change is a good one. The message of attacking a woman for being overweight or eating too much is not. And hes got to change that. Lets talk about that because you say thats an oops moment. In the moment he was not as on a callin show where he brought it up by himself. He wasnt asked about Alicia Machado but he transformed this into a second day story saying she gained so much weight. He turned this not into only a second day story but a third day story and a fourth day story. This will be a real test to see if he thinks this is going to go away, i think hes go away. It affects peoples perceptions of him about women, about hispanics, but also about whether hes a gracious person. Theres this other thing that he continues to talk about yesterday, this idea that he did not go there, that he showed restraint against Hillary Clinton when it comes to issues in her marriage. Right. Its this thing where you get to go there by saying youre not going there. Its like if i said im not even going to talk about that suit youre wearing and i just did. So is this working . I dont think it is. I think its a distraction from, again, the winning message, there are a lot of people around donald trump that will say the winning message is shes been in isnt working. Washington needs to change. Things like bill clintons personal life, benghazi, even her email, while theyre concerns for voters, there are a lot of republicans say you can talk about this other stuff but its not to be about issues. And this will he or wont he, for a lot of people, is a distraction. He has demonstrated in the recent past an ability to change. When the polls were in freefall adjust. Now to a developing story overnight, officials are pleading for calm after a deadly officerinvolved shooting that happened in Southern California. Protesters gathered at the scene of the shooting last night, a Shopping Center in el cajon which is about 30 miles east of san diego. Officers were called in over reports that a man was acting erratically. Now, police say he was not armed, but they say he pulled an object from his pocket and pointed it in a, quote, shooting stance toward the officers and that prompted one of the officers to open fire. The man died several hours later at a hospital. There are some new developments today in a major nk wells fargo is launching its own accounts opened without customer consent. And it seems this might only be the beginning. This morning, the major fallout at wells fargo. Here are the transcripts. Wells fargo said plans to take 41 million away from john stumpfs compensation package. This comes after investigations found over 2 million accounts created credit accounts. Wells fargo board of directors has retained a law firm for an independent investigation during which the ceo will not be paid a salary. Theres criminal behavior, theres unethical behavior business. Former employees now suing wells fargo in a class action lawsuit. Some telling nbc news the fraudulent behavior was a direct result of pressure from managers. What felt strange was how adamant they were that every customer had to have seven accounts. Some customers say they had to sound the alarm. Shareholders pushing back and Northern California saying the fake accounts goosed the stock price, directly affecting the stocks. Thats securities fraud. Papers labeling knox ever from shedevil to foxy knoxy. Knox and sollecito were found they appealed and were released due to a lack of dna evidence but they would not be fully exonerated by the itali of last year. It was a little hard. We first approached her and rafaelle when they were acquitted but two years later amanda said she was ready to tell her side of the story. And what did you hear,when s talked abouttq what had happene. Whatou that we havent heard about this case thinking about it so much that theyre able to step back and tie it to a larger ideas and larger philosophies. You spoke to amanda and to raffaele who was her boyfriend. They were pretty open with you. We have another clip, i want to play it right now. My heart is beating so fast. You found some home video and you see this young man who is so vivacious and so full of life and so different from the public image we associate with her. What does she say about how this experience changed her, brian, and is that something you notice in terms of her demeanor. We keyed into this idea of accidental select. These people have been caught up in the story. Its not only amanda and raffaele, but its the prosecutor as well. Everyone in the world they walk around on the street and people recognize them and think that they know them already. One of the moments in the movie i think is interesting is amanda says people recognize me in line at the Grocery Store and they say i know you. And she says you dont know me. And for us that idea that after eight years of headlines all over the world, it was really, really fascinating. I have to say its not without controversy because although you talked to many players in the case, you werent able to talk to the kercher shes the center of the case. Did you try to talk to them . And how do you feel about the film without that perspective . We did reach out to the kercher family twice directly in 2015 and 2016. Wed still very much like to talk to them if theyd like to talk to us. They made it clear that every time they have to talk about this its reexamining this wound. We wanted to make sure people in the film remembered this was a tragedy at its core that became this piece of entertainment and this set of headlines better part of a decade. We also reached out to the kercher family who declined to comment. Its an interesting film, takes a look at the medias role in all of this as well. It was extremely well constructed, its funny. You love the characters and you want to know what happens to them. You get a lot of information in the first act that holds up and really pays off in the other two acts. The great thing about it obviously new people are seeing it whoever never seen it before, and you can hear them being shocked or surprised by twists in the plot. You know, the last line in the play is one of the most famous curtain lines in the american theater, and every night now i can hear them like totally shocked because of what im about to do. When, you know, theres nothing them. The dialogue, the profanity aside, is rapid fire. I mean it is fast paced. I think somebody said it takes a lot of vocal stamina. How do you prep for Something Like that . We have a brilliant woman called kate wilson who comes and warms us up all evening but everybody every day is just getting loose. Whats your warmup . These are pork ribs. Weve got them right there. Talk to me about the other ingredients. These are baby back ribs. Flavor but not having to smoke it for hours and hours on end. Liquid smoke . Its a natural condiment. They use the flavorings from the chips. Coincidentally it was ca carsons nickname in high school. We have some vinegar and coconut sugar, which is a substitute for brown sugar. Were going to mix all these in a second. Lets get to the process. First youre going to make the rub. So this is our coconut sugar, so givem to go with the smokiness. We have chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt and perpenpepper. The great thing about this rub, you can put it on chicken and barbecue it or a steak. So were going to use a couple of tablespoons and we can save the rest in this jar. How far in advance to cooking do you put the rub on . You can do it right before it, do it a few days and wrap it up and get it in your fridge so theyre ready to go into the oven but it really is up to you. Were not using a grill today, were not using a smoker, but were going to cook these two different ways. Yes. Were going to do them in the oven. I love that because we do love to do that during the summer where we can put them on the barbecue but we also like to enjoy them in the winter so we put them low and slow in the oven. We added some curtains but we built a curtain rod out of the same piping to pull the entire room together. Everything else is just organization. Baskets for the skateboards, for the soccer cleats and the best part for you being a mom of is that you have baskets for everybodys clothes. Its actually a room that you guys can use now. We start with galvanized piping in the laundry room. These projects are all under 50. Very doable, very inexpensive. Everybody needs a table. Whether its in your laundry room, in your kids play room, in your craft room. All i did here was used some repositional, very important, very positional wallpaper, just sticky wallpaper. And just stuck it on this baby. If i put it on wrong, you can fix it. And you can find great patterns everywhere. They have whole websites related to this. And you can do an old table as well. The galvanized piping, you can spray paint it black in this case over here. Dont forget, especially if youre doing this in a laundry room, it defeats the purpose to not clean it because it is greasy, so do that first. And you did the table under here . You can get all of this at any Home Improvement store and the Big Box Stores will cut it and threat it for you. This is important. They will cut it for you for free and usually thread it. Starting out a little bit similar to what the directions say. Add an extra egg which makes it really moist, a little bit espresso because its got that espresso taste. Some rum. So were replacing the wuater with rum. I love that. Replacing the water w im puerto rican, so. We just mix this all up. Right. Get it all delicious. Yeah, just nice and smooth. This goes into our prepared bake pans. Put a little parchment and spray in there. So pour that in, it bakes. Boom, boom, boom. Gorgeous cake layers. A little more rum. Yes i told you thats what i do. Then once those are cool, rumsoaked, then you slice the layers in half and then were doing a mascarpone frosting. It sounds fancy. Really just a kind of cream cheese.
