Police say they were allegedly gunning for someone else. A man who was targeted simply because he came from a different neighborhood. These two offenders are the prime example of the challenge we face here in chicago with repeat gun offenders that dont care who they shoot, dont care whose life they take, and clearly, clearly dont fear the consequences of their actions. Aldridges first cousin of dwyane wade used social media to speak out. My cousin was killed today in chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. Four kids lost their mom for no reason. Unreal. Two United Airlines pilots are in a courtroom in scotland this morning accused of attempting to fly back to the United States drunk. The men were arrested by police on saturday. They have been removed from duty. Nbcs tom costello covers reporter there are three pilots on board the 757. Two of them arrested. Under scottish law, they could face two years in prison, a fine or both. Appearing in a scottish courtroom this morning, two United Airlines pilots accused of showing up for their transatlantic flight to the u. S. Saturday morning too intoxicated to fly. The veteran pilots were taken into custody here at gas go 162 was scheduled to leave for newark with 150 people on board. One passenger tweeting whats going on . Police in the tunnel very little information. Veteran pilot captain john cox. This is one of the areas where pilots and all flight crew members have a virtual zero tolerance for impairment for any reason. But we will understand. Reporter Authorities SayRodney Sanders who lived in the area has been charged with two counts of confessing to killing the women. The motive still unknown and no word on how sanders was implicated. At the time of the killing he was on probation. Convicted of felony drunk driving last year. He served six years after being sentenced for Armed Robbery in 1986. Police say sanders became a person of interest early in their investigation following tips from the community. It hurt me in my heart. But i loved these two ladies. Reporter the nuns were found stabbed in their home after failing to show at the clinic where they work as nurse this is one of the poorest counties in all of mississippi. Victor ortiz made a splitsecond decision that saved a life, but this morning he tells us he was just doing his job. An act of heroism just in the nick of time. Victor ortiz putting his life on the line saving a man laying on the tracks seconds between life and death. I was bracing for the worst, you know, but hoping for the best. Its headlights approaching fast. In my mind, i said this is not going to happen. Not while im here. Im going to do what i can to pull this guy through. Reporter ortiz admitting it was a struggle. The man significantly larger than him wasnt cooperating but ortiz found the strength to pull him off the tracks with no more than two seconds to spare. That last pull had it not worked we already know what would have happened. Reporter this Morning Police are calling ortiz a hero but hopes others would do the same. Nothing, again, i wouldnt be able to bear that thought in my mind. Reporter a humble and proud cop, ortiz says the man later apologized and thanked him. He goes, i didnt mean to do what i did, and i told him at that point thats my job. My job is to protect and serve. The mans identity and condition have not been released.
