We are anticipating some storms, during the afternoon today. Denver police say this guy has had a very busy summer. They say his name is shawn scott. And he is responsible for a 9 News Reporter Tarhonda Thomas is outside one of the banks he is accused of hitting here in denver and his spree began back in may. Reporter it began in may. And he has been very ambitious since. This is the most recent bank he hit. This is a tcf bank at broadway and evans. He ran in here on tuesday, police say, handed the teller a note, got the money and then ran straight out to broadway. Lets give you another look at this guy, because police want to catch him, i will give you his resume, if you will. Starting in may, he hit u. S. Bank on 1248 South Broadway and then went to the key bank on speer in june. And the u. S. Bank on 38th avenue in june. And the ves per bank on speer in june. Five locations. In just a matter of months. Police say they know who this man is. They identify him as shawn scott. They say he is six feet tall. He weighs 150 pounds. And thin built guy. They have spread to other congregations now. The programs are led by a licensed therapist and follow the traditional 12 step model. And attendees are encouraged to share as much or as little as they choose. The overall goal of the group is to change systematic racism here in the united states. It is a shame we need that. The beautiful creature is believed to be one of the oldest asian elephants in captivity. Sadly she is in poor health which is why denver zoo Officials Say she is being offered hospital style care. And partly cloudy sky, and sun just now coming up. And 6 22, this morning, for the sunrise this morning and we have the monsoon continuing to back westward, into colorado. And focused more into the midwest today, and it has made a westward push into the state. And that will create some areas of thunderstorms. And not so concerned about Severe Weather here today, again, unfortunately, it is the severe storms. For us, storms start in the mountains, from southwestern colorado, to grand county, during the early afternoon. And we will get late afternoon, and evening thunderstorms around here. And then showers will continue, even after midnight tonight. So it is a very wet day, after a generally dry start, and very heavy rain in pockets, especially along and south of monument hill. And in several mountain areas during the day today. We will 10 degrees below the seasonal averages. And most of these highs in the mid to upper 70s, will be hit by 2 00. Because after 2 00, we cloud up and start to see the rain run right down, right down off of the mountains and foothills over the i25 corridor. 2 00. I love it when marty gives aus time like that.
