already weighing in on this year's general election. nearly 114- thousand ballots statewide have already been returned. voters in denver, jefferson and arapahoe counties have turned in the most in the metro area. those preliminary numbers come just as a lawsuit over taking selfies with ballots is filed. ballot at a polling place. 9news reporter andrew sorensen is live at a polling station near civic center park. andrew... one lawmaker says that's not fair. aside from the actual issues on the ballot... there's a new issue coming up this year... people taking selfies of their ballot. might be tempting... but it's illegal. an 1891 law makes it illegal to share a filled out ballot. this goes back to a time when bartenders would bribe people to vote a certain way. now there's a lawsuit to change that law-- filed by a colorado legislator and a du student. state senator owen hill says it's silly that sharing your ballot is a misdemeanor. "i saw a friend of mine post about how this was illegal in colorado, and the interesting thing is it was sandwiched in between two other posts of facebook who were doing, posting at the same time, ballot selfies. i thought this is interesting. we've just incriminated two of my friends. and i realized in this day and age, it doesn't make sense." states... the secretary of state sent us a statement defending the law... saying it "protects the integrity of the election"... and that with our "unique election system," the ban might be needed here more than other states. as 9news... early voting is and that's where both donald trump early voting is also underway in the battleground state of florida, and that's where both donald trump polls there show trump lagging behind clinton-- and political experts say florida could make or break his presidential hopes this year. still he's urging his supporters to ignore those polls - insisting they are just plain wrong. trump's running mate mike pence is staying busy -- reaching out to on the other side-- hillary clinton is trying to use her clout to help down-ballot candidates - while her surrogates take on trump trump's running mate indiana governor mike pence will be making another stop in colorado tomorrow. he'll be at the colorado springs event center at 7 p-m... doors open at 5. with just 2 weeks left to go until the general election-- u-s senate glenn is bringing in a big name to help stump for him. us senator for texas ted cruz will joing glenn today for two rallies. glenn says he believes with support from cruz-- he can keep flip colorado's senate seat to republican side. the rallies are scheduled for later this morning at 11:00 a.m. in loveland and later this afternoon at 3-15 in denver at the park hill golf course. republican representative ken buck will also be making an appearance in support of glenn. we're working to the two teens... charged with murder... accused of killing an englewood chef in a botched robbery. police tell us to expect an update as early as tomorrow. nicholas lewis - was shot several times - on south acoma street near cornell avenue earlier this month. he was a chef at blackbird public house. investigators believe it was a botched robbery. both teens were in custody on unrelated charges when they were charged with murder. police have not released their names. no word this morning on how long it could take to repaico greenwood village. this morning it sits empty west of i-25 near fiddler's green. soon after the building opened, some people say they felt like they were in an earthquake while inside. turns out the building had shifted. it was closed for a couple of days while engineers checked it out. now workers are out once again so so permanent repairs can be done. houston texans a mile high stadium. fans were loud -- and let their feelings be known about former bronco brock osweiler -- boos greeted osweiler for his first trip back to denver with his new team. many in broncos nation have deemed the quarterback a traitor for leaving during free agency - but it might be hard to find too many people who would turn down a 72-million dollar deal. it was a brutal homecoming for osweiler;
