Two or three guys were at the end of the pier and they rushed over. Ran over to help her. Reporter the Good Samaritans crouched by kates father in the white shirt who bent over his daughter. Kate told her dad she didnt feel well. It turns out she had been shot. Police swept the area and ktvu saw Police Taking a man into custody, it was down the street at pier 38. That man is francisco sanchez. Hes known to be on probation from the state of texas. Reporter sanchez was arrested on homicide charges today and he did not have a weapon when he was found. At there point it appear to be a very random act. Once again the victim and suspect were not known to each other. Were still looking into the motive. Reporter kates family heard one explanation. He said he was trying to hit a seal. We dont know. Reporter at noon, police looked for evidence and they pulled out a black box blue they blue box but they didnt say what it contained. San Francisco Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that injured a bystander at a gay pride event last weekend. Investigators say the gunman is 19yearold Joshua Spencer of San Francisco. Police say the shooting was not connected to pride. And happened after several men got into an argument near un plaza. A cell phone video share on instagram captured the moments leading up to that gunfire. The person wounded was a 60 yearold vendor who was treated at the hospital and later released. Spencer is facing charges including attempted murder and possession of an unregistered firearm. Six people fell to their deaths, seven others were left with a range of injuries. Initial investigations showed dry rot likely weakened the balcony. These little sharks out here they mostly are fish eaters. Theyre not likely to go after marine mammals, seals or dolphins or people. Thats about to begin next week. The Park District says it will keep monitoring the toxic levels but arent offering up any prediction on when lake tamascal will be open for swimming.
