Kate told her dad she didnt feel well. It turns out she had been shot. Police swept the area and ktvu saw Police Taking a man into custody, it was down the street at pier 38. That man is francisco sanchez. Hes known to be on probation from the state of texas. Reporter sanchez was arrested on homicide charges today and he did not have a weapon when he was found. At there point it appear to be a very random act. Once again the victim and suspect were not known to each other. Were still looking into the motive. Reporter kates family heard one explanation. He said he was trying to hit a seal. We dont know. Reporter at noon, police looked for evidence and they pulled out a black box blue they blue box but they didnt say what it contained. San Francisco Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that injured a bystander at a gay pride event last weekend. Investigators say the gunman is 19yearold Joshua Spencer of San Francisco. Police say the shooting was not connected to pride. And happened after several men got into an argument near un plaza. A cell phone video share on instagram captured the moments leading up to that gunfire. The person wounded was a 60 yearold vendor who was treated at the hospital and later released. Spencer is facing charges including attempted murder and possession of an unregistered firearm. Reporter coriglio forged his signature on these checks made out to sarah herself. A third business check for 7,200 was made out to coriglios landlord. Then new license plates in the mail for cars that he never bought. Coriglio bought three vehicles on this credit application coriglio listed herself as the cfo. Its crushing. The city of fairfield is closing three parks because of fire danger. The Fire Department says the heat and wind make it just so dangerous to allow people in those parks. Attorney victoria urstoff arguing that any examination destroys the evidence and that the company will not be able to conduct an independent analysis. Six people fell to their deaths, seven others were left with a range of injuries. Initial investigations showed dry rot likely weakened the balcony. These little sharks out here they mostly are fish eaters. Theyre not likely to go after marine mammals, seals or dolphins or people. Reporter if you swallow any of the water, you will become sick. By having low water levels and the drought and like a warm winter, the algae just hasnt had a winter to get knocked down. Reporter bloom is all but killed off the junior life guard program. No rescue training until the water is safe again. The plan is to treat the lake with a chemical that will kill the toxic algae. Thats about to begin next week. The Park District says it will keep monitoring the toxic levels but arent offering up any prediction on when lake tamascal will be open for swimming.
