affected. the u.c. berkley student missing is from san diego. nick leslie was with other students when the truck drove into the truck. there others are cal were wounded. they were all in france for a summer internship program. nick leslie was last seen on the seaside prommed in during the celebration. his friends say leslie has not contacted anyone. >> he was not responding. i sent him a snap several arrests. demonstrators marched through oakland. twice they were blocked by police. amber lee is in oakland. how big is the crowd and where are they now? >> as far as we know there's a small crowd of protesters on the move. there's 30 people, that's our understanding and they made a number of stops including at the police headquarters. >> the group of around 100, mostly young people marched around city hall and up broadway. at times blocking intersections for a short while. they made their way to a freeway ramp as they protested police killings. >> we don't have the proper people protecting us. we have to protect ourselves. >> the pro testers called out the names of people killed by police. some businesses were prepared for the protest. boarding up the windows and doors. one man saw the protest and decided to join it. >> i'm a black male, i have a black son. i have been brutalized by the police. >> around 6:30 the demonstrators marched to 980 and walked on to it. but turned around. some didn't want to get arrested. as the protesters got off the ramp the chp and oakland police arrived. there was a standoff for a short while until protesters left the area and continued their march. >> why are you on the ramp. what are people doing to you. why are you after them. you are endangering people. >> tony schmidt is a native of oakland, he expects many protesters that cause problems are not from oakland. protesters who vandalize businesses or disrupt traffic are hurting innocent people. others say calling atension to injustices is the way to bring about the louisiana man who was shot and killed by two police officer last week was laid to rest today. mourners supported his family. alton sterling was selling cd on july 5. police got a call of a man unoccupied when it started moving. how it started moving is being investigated. a 19-year-old man is behind bars in san francisco accused in a deadly hit and run in golden gate park. on june 2241-year-old bike -- 22, 41-year-old bike rider was hit and killed. today officers arrested nikki garcia of san francisco, he's charged with murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross neglect. the transit agency will begin equipping the bus fleet with air-conditioners. the move has come under fire because the city is often foggy and cool in the summer. officials say the change will be good for passengers and bus drivers year round. the fremont line is can closed for the weekend for repairs. train service stopped at 9:00 and won't start until 4:00 a.m. monday. a bus bridge is set up. on wall helicopters and planes to group. he was arrested this afternoon and charged with interfering with firefighting operations. the trail head fire burned 5600- acres. police in san diego have arrested the man accused of killing three homeless men and wounding two others. the latest attack happened this morning. the victim is expected to survive. shortly after the attack john dave i'd guererro was arrested. last week police arrested another possible suspect. investigators say he had a prior conviction for setting another homeless man on fire. he was released. now the new suspect is behind bars. in san jose someone has been targeting the homeless. ann rubin tells us it's happened around the city. >> it sounds like something out of a horror movie. someone slashes up tents and bicycle tires.
